Agent Coulson had just let out a long breath and was about to discuss the aftermath with the bishop when a faint mechanical shriek came from behind him. A blazing azure Plasma Cluster streaked down the corridor, vaporizing the heavy wooden door. Blinding light erupted across the bishop's helpless face. Then explosions and smoke instantly filled the room, supernatural smoke mingling with flesh and cremation ashes.

Rapidly expanding gas created a terrifying blast wave. Agent Coulson's vision went black as the shockwave hurled him through the shattered, charred doorway of the bishop's office. An indescribable stench and an explosive storm hot enough to nearly scorch skin slammed into him. Even a battle-hardened agent could not endure such an extreme environment. The smell was like putrid blood and viscera roasting in a burning slaughterhouse. The pungent, fishy smoke forced his eyes shut. Rotting cuts of meat hanging one after another were consumed by flames, while thin smoke sprayed out along their veins.

Driven back by the heat, Agent Coulson's few remaining hairs nearly curled up and burned. He staggered out of the bishop's office, his smoke-reddened, swollen eyes blurring his vision, yet he still recognized the figure rushing toward him. At the other end of the corridor, the Alchemical Double held up a Plasma Handgun and repeatedly pulled the trigger. Seven azure flashes shot in straight lines, leaving behind the searing heat of something star-hot spilling through the air. "Get over here, Agent Coulson!" The Alchemical Double strode toward the bishop's office, clutching the "Darkhold" tightly in one hand as he shouted a warning. This was the first time Agent Coulson had seen this alchemical body show such anxiety. Before he could understand what was happening, the Alchemical Double shouted in a commanding tone, "Don't look back!"
