Aparajita killed in silence and savagery, whether those beneath his Execution Axe were grotesquely twisted figures from another dimension or Mutants whose genetic aberrations had stripped them of human appearance. The Execution Axe, which took two men to lift, was as light as a branch in his hands. Neither the Mutants' bone density nor their flesh could stop its honed blade. They crashed like waves against the shield line raised by the Gene-modded Warriors. The clash of steel and Hell Metal rang without end as these creatures, which did not exist in the Material Universe, brandished malformed claws and weapons, greedily harvesting the lives of fleeing Inhuman civilians and unwilling to surrender a single soul within their grasp.

War machines clad in steel and armor ground over the ruins on their tracks. Blinding white-hot streams erupted from their barrels, and temperatures capable of vaporizing steel cooked the monsters' flesh. The air was thick with the smell of scorched metal.
