Rules of Space Combat

Space boarding was the bloodiest form of combat, but it was also the most efficient operational plan against high-value targets.

The basic combat regulations followed by all boarding forces under the Emperor were systematically compiled by the Defense General Staff organized by Regent Victor von Doom. They drew upon the battle-hardened boarding experience of the Asgardians, urban warfare manuals and cases from several major military powers on Earth, and lessons learned from the assault on the Attilan fortress in the Moon's Blue Area. After exceptionally complex simulated exercises and lengthy discussions, these regulations were finally established.

Urban warfare on Earth had always been known for its high casualty rates, and space boarding was even worse.

Setting aside the vacuum and zero-gravity environment, as well as the virtually impossible presence of heavy and light armored support, conventional space boarding was fundamentally no different from urban combat on Earth. This referred to battles without Gene-modded Warriors; in military manuals, Gene-modded Warriors counted as light armored units. The only difference was that air support, artillery support, and indirect-fire support such as squad mortars commonly seen in urban warfare on Earth were all replaced by space warships and starfighters.

The Punisher maintained a steady speed, cruising through the dark, silent void like an enormous whale. It circled the Kree Space Station in a lighthouse maneuver, always keeping its side batteries aimed at the enemy. This Helicarrier, originally intended for Project Insight, had undergone numerous modifications. Even its Dragon Bone had been replaced with tougher material. From then on, it could no longer operate in an atmosphere and could only cruise at sub-orbital altitude at the lowest.

No one would be foolish enough to overlook The Punisher's formidable firepower and troop deployment capacity.
