"I know what you're thinking." Natasha Romanoff placed a carton of eggs into the cart. Beside them were the breakfast cereal, milk, and bacon rolls Wanda had picked out. Compared with premium ingredients delivered straight to the door, Wanda preferred these more down-to-earth things. With Natasha's help, the young witch was gradually becoming accustomed to life in New York and had even begun preparing for afternoon tea and tomorrow morning's breakfast. The Arcanist had no idea which shampoo suited what kind of hair, what cosmetics and skincare products suited Wanda, or how girls were supposed to apply makeup. Natasha had to teach her those things. She was the most suitable person for the job.
"You're thinking, 'Should I accept his code of conduct? If I don't, will he hate me?'" Wanda pretended to browse the gummy candies on the shelf, but Natasha knew she was listening because the witch's ears had turned completely red. Clearly, having her little thoughts discovered had embarrassed her terribly. Unlike the interrogation subjects she had faced, Wanda had no experience hiding her emotions. Ever since Jiaying had been captured, Wanda had been in a bad mood, and Natasha had used her role as interrogator as an opportunity to spend more time talking with her.
"Wanda, you don't need to be so frightened." The agent smiled and moved closer to the witch. "I think as long as you know how to use the internet, you'll find plenty of articles about how 'women don't need to blindly obey men.' Just follow that advice. Salomon doesn't want to raise a puppet, either."

"I'm S.H.I.E.L.D.'s best spy. I can read minds without magic. And I can see something else in your expression, too." Natasha winked. She took the gummy candies from Wanda's
