Background / History

Bei Bei shares a dormitory at Shrek Academy with Su Ming and Xu Sanshi. He and Su Ming have known one another since Su Ming entered the Outer Court at age eight, and their friendship is defined by frank concern rather than empty praise. When Su Ming divides his attention between cultivation, forging, and Soul Tool research, Bei Bei gently but firmly warns that the split focus could hinder his soul power growth. 3 40

As Tang Ya's boyfriend, Bei Bei is deeply involved in preserving the Tang Sect. He agrees to personally accompany her in obtaining a third soul ring and promises to carefully avoid sinister, violent, or dark-attributed soul beasts because of the danger they pose to her martial soul. 4 5 During this journey, he and Tang Ya meet Huo Yuhao, setting in motion Huo Yuhao's connection to the Tang Sect. 6

Bei Bei initially struggles to refute Su Ming's criticism that Tang Sect hidden weapons have fallen behind Soul Tools. Rather than rejecting the argument outright, he ultimately accepts that the sect must combine its traditional techniques with Soul Tool technology to recover. 18 19 He continues supporting Tang Ya as she becomes more independent and develops the Dragon Cannon, an innovation based on the Zhuge Crossbow and Soul Tool principles. 85

Mu En considers Bei Bei his intended successor as Sea God Pavilion Master, but worries that Bei Bei's incomplete Bright Sacred Dragon evolution and distraction over Tang Ya have slowed his cultivation. Mu En therefore asks Su Ming to support Bei Bei if he later struggles to uphold the Pavilion. 23 24

Appearance

Bei Bei is described as tall and upright, carrying a restrained dragon-like presence. His azure eyes become especially intense when he enters battle. 81 85

He is protective of Tang Ya, shielding her during an assassin attack and remaining committed to the Tang Sect's revival. 51 85 In team battles, he values discipline and coordination; after Xu Sanshi is eliminated early in the reserve-team match, Bei Bei directly criticizes his impatience. 82
