Background / History

Years before the main events, Xuan Zi abandoned an elite training squad without authorization to seek wild game. During his absence, a hundred-thousand-year soul beast ambushed the students, including Zhang Lexuan. The incident became a lasting source of guilt and fear, making him reluctant to lead younger students into dangerous soul-hunting expeditions. 68

Xuan Zi later formed a close friendship with Su Ming through repeated encounters in Shrek Academy’s cafeteria. Their earth- and metal-aligned martial souls are described as compatible, while their direct, forceful combat styles similarly complement one another.
