Background and History
At Nuoding Academy, Yu Xiaogang approaches Chu Qing after hearing that the newcomer has Innate Full Soul Power. He offers to become Chu Qing’s master and recommends a defensive first soul ring for his flame martial soul. Chu Qing rejects the advice and challenges him to show his own cultivation; Grandmaster, a level 29 Soul Grand Master, leaves angrily 2.
Grandmaster recounts the dispute to his disciple Tang San, blaming Chu Qing. He then takes Tang San to hunt a Datura Snake for his first soul ring. The hunt nearly costs them their lives, but Tang San absorbs the ring, which Grandmaster regards as a successful test of his theory 3 6. After Chu Qing defeats Tang San at Nuoding Academy, Grandmaster demands an explanation from Director Su, who maintains that Tang San provoked the fight 7 8.
Years later, Grandmaster and Tang San confront Chu Qing in a Suotuo City restaurant. Grandmaster summons his martial soul, Luo Sanpao, but Chu Qing redirects his and Tang San’s attacks through a spatial rift. Grandmaster is struck by Tang San’s Sleeve Arrow and his own poisonous mist, losing consciousness. After Tang San gives him an antidote, Grandmaster vows revenge 22 23.
