Chapter 747: Tony's Merchant Guild Mission
For more than ten days, waves of public opinion targeting Tony had surged across the globe, most of it slanderous.
Public opinion always changed with the propaganda. Even something obviously idiotic could gain plenty of believers if enough people repeated it, let alone lies that had been continuously refined by those "elite figures" until they became highly deceptive.
Tony offered no response.
He knew very well that responding would be useless because he had no power.
Tony had buried himself in the laboratory for more than ten days.
He kept searching through the knowledge he had obtained, trying to find a way to deal with the enemy before him.
But he found nothing.
He finally realized that although he had gained a great deal of knowledge, most of it was knowledge below a certain threshold. Only the Grand Prizes touched on truly profound knowledge. Whether in the Apostle profession or the scientist profession, he had only just begun, and his understanding remained incredibly shallow.
Unfortunately,
his enemy this time was an existence above that threshold.
"It won't work. It's impossible." Tony overturned his design for the Nth time and slumped back in his chair. "This thing can't break through that distorted spatial barrier. I can't figure out the properties of divine power, either, or that inexplicable increase in strength and weapon generation. None of this is scientific."
Tony was now unshaven, with disheveled hair and bloodshot eyes. He looked utterly haggard.
"You are indeed the most knowledgeable person I've ever met." The Queen Mother slowly shook her head as she sat before him. "But with only this level of knowledge, defeating Hela is impossible. Even for us Asgardians, the secrets of divine power remain veiled in a layer we cannot see through."
