Function and Acquisition
Soul Masters require soul rings to gain abilities from their Martial Souls and continue advancing after reaching a cultivation bottleneck. Yu Yan cannot progress beyond level 10 until he obtains his first ring. 24
Under the conventional system, a soul beast is killed and its energy condenses into a ring for absorption. The ring produced by the Ice and Fire Sub-Dragon Lizard appears as yellow light after the beast dies, then descends onto Yu Yan's Ice and Fire Twin Fish Martial Soul. 28
Absorption requirements
