Background / History

Tsunade left Konoha before Anko Mitarashi received Orochimaru’s Cursed Seal. Her experiences as a medical ninja left her disillusioned with healing shinobi only to watch them return to dangerous missions and die; she rejects Konoha’s request for help on those grounds 29 32 34.

She is found traveling with Shizune and Tonton while nearly out of money after another disastrous gambling streak.
