After school, at the school gate.
Standing behind Kizaru, Shimura Yoshihiko kept glancing at Namikaze Minato, who stood beside his brother.
Damn it! Whenever he asked to train with his big brother, he was always refused, yet today, the moment Namikaze Minato asked, his brother agreed without hesitation.
What was so special about this guy that his brother would dote on him like this?
"Damn it! This is just infuriating!"
Just as Yoshihiko was muttering to himself, Shimura Yuki and Tanin, who had finished class a bit later, walked up to the gate.
"What are you mumbling about, you idiot?" As soon as she reached his side, Yuki heard Yoshihiko talking to himself.
"Tch!" Hearing Yuki's voice, Yoshihiko turned his head away and stared up at the sky.
Seeing Yoshihiko acting up again, Yuki didn't want to deal with him; she quickened her pace and walked up to Kizaru.
"Big Brother Kizaru!" She beamed with a happy smile and called out affectionately.
"Everyone's out? Then follow me; I'll be taking you all for training today." Kizaru reached out to pat Yuki's head and said with a smile.
Training together?
Hearing Kizaru's words, Yuki was slightly stunned, and then a surge of joy welled up from within her heart.
This is wonderful!
Although she was overjoyed, Yuki still controlled her expression, maintaining a ladylike, gentle smile.
"This is Namikaze Minato, my classmate. He'll be training with us from now on," Kizaru said, not ignoring the boy beside him as he took the initiative to introduce him.
"Hello, Minato! My name is Shimura Yuki. Please take care of me!" Her smile stiffened slightly, but Yuki greeted him with proper etiquette.
Damn it, where did this blondie come from? Yuki screamed in her heart while offering her greeting.
At this moment, she finally understood why Yoshihiko had been standing alone in the back, muttering to himself.
"Hello, Yuki!" Namikaze Minato responded quickly with a warm smile.
"It's getting late, let's head out! Yoshihiko, Tanin, get ready to go!"
Hearing Kizaru's call, the four little ones, including Namikaze Minato, followed by Kizaru's side and left the school gate.
Considering that this was Namikaze Minato's first time training with him and he wasn't familiar with the Shimura clan members, Kizaru didn't take them to the clan's private Training Ground.
At the same time, mindful of the children's limited stamina, Kizaru didn't take them to the training grounds in the forest on the outskirts of the village either.
The training site Kizaru chose was located behind the Hokage Rock, relatively close to the school.
Kizaru led the way, the mild-mannered Tanin took the initiative to walk with Namikaze Minato, while Yoshihiko, acting out of character, walked alongside Yuki.
The two little ones trailed at the back of the group, their eyes fixed on Namikaze Minato's back before they turned to glare at each other.
Neither spoke, but their eyes revealed their inner thoughts.
Shimura Yuki: Where did that blondie pop out from? Why does Big Brother Kizaru want to train with him?
Shimura Yoshihiko: I don't know!
Shimura Yuki: Then what do you know?
Shimura Yoshihiko: I don't know anything!
"Idiot!" Unable to help herself, Yuki whispered.
"Damn it! You want to fight?" Yoshihiko immediately retorted.
"Hmph!"
With a cold snort, Yuki quickened her pace, trotting over to Kizaru's side and taking his right hand.
Seeing this, Yoshihiko grew even angrier. Gritting his teeth and stomping his foot, he ran up as well and grabbed Kizaru's left hand.
"Hmph!"
"Hmph!"
Seeing Yoshihiko catch up, Yuki snorted again.
Yoshihiko responded with an equally defiant snort.
Namikaze Minato, following behind Kizaru, saw this scene and his smiling face froze for a moment.
"They're like this often; don't mind them," Tanin explained understandingly.
"You all have such a great relationship," Namikaze Minato said with a smile, sounding slightly envious.
Hearing Minato's assessment, Tanin wanted to sigh, but considering that "family scandals" shouldn't be aired in public, he forced himself to hold it back.
"Yes," Tanin replied with an awkward smile.
The small detour on the road didn't affect their progress, and after twenty minutes, the group arrived at the training ground behind the Hokage Rock.
"Yoshihiko, why don't you lead everyone in a warm-up first?" Not having decided on the training program yet, Kizaru could only have them warm up first.
"Understood, Big Brother Kizaru!" Tasked with the assignment, Yoshihiko puffed out his chest and answered loudly.
After answering, Yoshihiko cast a smug look at Yuki, which made the little girl's expression turn much colder.
Watching the four little ones begin their warm-up, Kizaru stood where he was and reached up to scratch his head.
What should he train them in?
Zen-hiko and the other two had refined their chakra and received basic education a year before enrollment, so they just needed to learn and grow at their own pace.
As an orphan, Namikaze Minato had received no such pre-school tutoring; everything from chakra refinement to basic taijutsu drills had been learned only after he entered the academy.
Yet, even so, Namikaze Minato was able to maintain above-average grades in class, which went to show just how extraordinary his talent was.
After some thought, Kizaru had an idea.
Ninjutsu training was still too early for the four of them; taijutsu training would be more appropriate.
Having made up his mind, Kizaru waited until Zen-hiko finished leading the group in their warm-up, then clapped his hands to signal the four to come before him before he began to speak.
"For our first training session today, let's play a little game!"
A game?
The four looked at Kizaru, puzzled.
Kizaru didn't speak; he simply extended his right index finger, which lit up with a golden glow, and fired a laser the thickness of a chopstick.
The laser flew at high speed, collided with a large tree, and triggered an explosion.
Their eyes followed the laser, and they stared in stunned silence as the tree was blasted over. After a moment of shock, the four little ones finally snapped out of it, looking at Kizaru with eyes full of admiration.
"Big Brother Kizaru, are you going to teach us ninjutsu?" the straightforward Zen-hiko asked first, his voice filled with excitement.
Kizaru shook his head and said with a grin, "No, I'm going to shoot at you with lasers!"
"What?" Zen-hiko shouted, looking at Kizaru with an expression of disbelief.
"You've all played dodgeball, right? That's what we're playing today: I shoot, you dodge!" Kizaru explained with a smile.
Exchanging glances, the four little ones instinctively looked back at the tree that had been blown over by the laser.
Swallowing hard, Zen-hiko said to Kizaru, "Big Brother Kizaru, isn't that a bit too dangerous?"
Maintaining his smile, Kizaru replied, "Don't worry, I'll control the power of the technique; I won't let you end up disabled."
Disabled?
The four caught the keyword, and Tanin, the most timid of the group, couldn't help but tremble.
"Big Brother Kizaru—"
"Then let's begin!" Kizaru interrupted Zen-hiko, aiming his glowing index finger at him with a beaming smile.
Every hair on Zen-hiko's body stood on end, and he instinctively dodged to the left, landing right behind Yuki.
"You jerk!" Yuki cursed with a cold face before moving as well, facing Kizaru's glowing finger.
Watching the four little ones scramble and search for cover, the smile on Kizaru's face grew even brighter.
"This is going to be fun!"
