Late at night.
Stark Industries, Sector 16.
A S.H.I.E.L.D. squad led by Level 7 Agent Coulson arrived rapidly at Stane's secret R&D factory, preparing to search for Steel Armor technology.
Just as the squad began their search, two blinding white lights suddenly ignited in the depths of the dark factory!
Accompanied by the hum of hydraulic systems, a steel behemoth over three meters tall appeared before them, its cold metal shell radiating a suffocating sense of oppression.
"Open fire!"
Coulson made a split-second decision, and he and the agents beside him raised their weapons and fired without hesitation.
Dense rain of bullets poured onto the Iron Monger armor, erupting in a continuous cacophony of metallic clangs and sparks.
However, these attacks, which could easily tear through flesh and blood, were like a tickle to the Iron Monger; they left only shallow white marks on its thick shell before being ruthlessly deflected.
"Get lost!"
Stane's voice emanated from the armor, a harsh roar like grinding metal.
Before the words faded, the massive body of the Iron Monger armor lunged forward, slamming violently into the nearest agent!
The agent had no time to dodge; he was sent flying by the immense force, crashing heavily into the wall with a dull thud of breaking bones, his fate unknown.
Faced with this overwhelming power, the remaining agents instantly realized the disparity in strength and scrambled to find cover.
Fortunately, Stane's target was clearly not them.
Ignoring the hiding agents, the Iron Monger armor smashed through the thick wall of the R&D factory and roared out into the middle of the road!
People in their vehicles were stunned by the sudden appearance of this steel giant.
What was this?
A miniature steel titan?
It wasn't until the Iron Monger casually flipped over a Hundred-Ton King that had been dominating the highway that panic spread like a plague.
In an instant, shrill screams and chaotic honking erupted one after another!
"Stane!!"
Just then, a roar filled with fury tore through the night sky.
A gold-and-red figure, shrouded in the shriek of thrusters, dove from the horizon and slammed fiercely into the Iron Monger armor in the middle of the road!
CRASH!!
A deafening boom exploded on the street!
The two sets of Steel Armor collided violently, the massive impact causing them to lose balance instantly. They rolled and skidded across the asphalt, trailing sparks and lightning, only coming to a stop after tumbling several times.
But the Iron Monger armor stood up quickly.
Its scarlet mechanical eyes locked onto the gold-and-red Steel Armor, and Stane, inside, instantly guessed the pilot's identity.
"Tony, how about it? Do you like my new suit?" Stane's voice came through the speakers, filled with arrogance and mockery.
"Shut up, you fake!"
Tony felt his blood boil.
A genius like him could tell at a glance what kind of trash the Iron Monger armor was.
Wasn't this just the Mark I he had hammered together in that cave!?
Whether in styling or design, the Iron Monger armor was a complete, scaled-up replica of the Mark I.
What was even more infuriating was that the reactor in the chest of the Iron Monger armor, providing its power, was the one dug out of his own chest!
How was this any different from being cuckolded to his face!?
"Tony, you are indeed a genius, but unfortunately, the ideas you come up with don't always belong to you!"
Stane finished his sentence.
The right arm of the Iron Monger armor jerked up, and the six-barreled Gatling gun on the gauntlet began to spin and warm up frantically!
DA-DA-DA-DA-DA--!
Countless bullets sprayed out, forcing Tony to retreat repeatedly under the violent barrage.
Tony gritted his teeth, pushed through the curtain of metal, and with blinding white light glowing from his palms, fired two energy blasts at the Iron Monger armor, forcibly interrupting its offensive.
"Sir, energy levels have dropped to 18%." Jarvis's warning sounded inside the Steel Armor.
"I know!"
Tony's heart sank, a bad feeling washing over him.
The reactor in his chest right now was the original version, and it had very little energy left.
Although the Mark III was far more efficient than the Mark I, this amount of energy wouldn't last long. If this continued, the Mark III would soon become a pile of immobile scrap metal, and he would lose all ability to fight back.
Rumble--!
The heavy roar of an engine sounded once again!
Tony had just steadied his stance when he saw the Iron Monger armor stomping down the road, charging toward him with a swiftness that defied its massive bulk!
"Damn it!"
Tony cursed, and in his haste, he could only cross his arms to shield his chest.
BANG!!
Possessing an absolute advantage in tonnage and impact force, the Iron Monger armor easily sent the Mark III flying off the ground!
Tony felt as if he had been struck by a high-speed train; he slammed heavily into the pavement a dozen meters away, creating a shallow crater. Before he could even struggle to rise, the massive shadow of the Iron Monger armor loomed over him, pinning him firmly beneath its foot.
Looking down at Tony, Stane laughed triumphantly, "Tony, your armor isn't as good as mine."
"Bullshit!"
At this moment, Tony felt like a helpless husband, utterly powerless against this evil, bald-headed Stane.
Although in his eyes, the Iron Monger armor was nothing more than a shoddy imitation.
Yet, it could not be ignored that the Iron Monger armor's defense, built upon sheer tonnage and ultra-thick plating, was truly ridiculously strong. With his energy supply running low, it was nearly impossible for the Mark III to break through the opponent's defenses.
Tony felt a humiliation he had never known before.
The original creator being rubbed into the dirt by a plagiarist—could there be anything more agonizing than this?
The Iron Monger armor lifted its foot, then grabbed the Mark III and hurled it toward a bus in the distance.
Stane controlled the Iron Monger, taking heavy, deliberate steps as he closed in once more.
He looked at Tony, who was embedded in the bus, and said in a cold voice, "Listen, I built this company from the ground up, step by step. No one is going to stand in my way, especially not you!"
As he spoke, an anti-tank missile launcher rose from the shoulder of the Iron Monger armor, locking onto the Tony before him.
Tony stared at the anti-tank missile aimed at him, momentarily stunned.
What a familiar scene!
The next moment, without the slightest hesitation, the anti-tank missile spat fire from its tail and roared straight toward Tony!
Just as Tony prepared to tank the bombardment, a figure suddenly appeared before him, holding a plain, unremarkable Frying Pan, and swung it at the anti-tank missile as if hitting a baseball!
CLANG!
BOOM!
Accompanied by a deafening roar, the anti-tank missile exploded instantly, flames surging upward as a powerful shockwave rippled outward.
As the dust and smoke gradually cleared, Du Mu stood before Tony, holding the Frying Pan, completely unscathed.
"Starting a boss fight without calling me?"
