[Item: Red Mushroom (Consuming it causes growth)]
This was an item Du Mu had obtained a while ago.
Seeing that Peter was about to reach his limit, Du Mu decisively consumed the Red Mushroom. His physique instantly surged to twice its original size, towering even a head taller than Hulk!
At the same time, all his attributes skyrocketed, allowing him to easily block Hulk's fist.
Furthermore, Du Mu's clothes expanded in sync with his body, unlike Hulk, who would burst through his shirt, pants, and shoes, leaving only a pair of shorts behind.
It must be said, however, that the quality of Hulk's shorts was truly top-tier; despite such an intense battle, there wasn't a single trace of damage on them.
Looking at Du Mu, who was now even more massive than himself, a flicker of astonishment flashed through Hulk's eyes.
But this astonishment was fleeting, instantly submerged by a surging tide of fury!
"ROAR!!"
Hulk let out a savage roar, swung his fist—which was larger than a sand pot—and smashed it fiercely toward Du Mu!
Du Mu did not dodge or evade, instead swinging his own fist to meet the attack!
BOOM!!!
Two giant fists, both containing terrifying power, collided violently!
A violent shockwave exploded, instantly knocking Peter and the surrounding bookshelves to the ground!
Taking advantage of the brief stalemate caused by the clashing fists, Du Mu urged, "Calm down, Hulk, I'm here to help you!"
"ROAR!!"
But Hulk couldn't hear a word of it, roaring as he prepared to swing his fist again.
However, Du Mu was faster!
"Muay Thai Warning!"
Du Mu stepped forward abruptly and slammed his elbow heavily into Hulk's face!
BANG!!
A dull, thunderous impact echoed through the room!
Hulk was sent flying back like a cannonball, crashing into a row of heavy bookshelves in the distance. Wood chips and books filled the air, burying him instantly.
Peter struggled to crawl out from a pile of scattered books, coughing as he brushed the dust off his body. He stared at Du Mu's towering figure and the collapsed bookshelves in the distance, completely stunned.
Are all athletes this savage these days?
"ROAR!!!"
An angry roar erupted from the ruins of the book pile!
Hulk threw off the books and shelves, his eyes locked onto Du Mu, burning with pure rage.
Clearly, Du Mu had thoroughly provoked this beast!
Hulk roared, his massive body launching forward once more, charging at Du Mu with reckless abandon.
Du Mu nimbly sidestepped the charge and swept his right leg swiftly into the back of Hulk's knee!
BANG!
Hulk's momentum stalled abruptly, his body staggering.
Taking advantage of Hulk's loss of balance, Du Mu followed up with a knee strike, slamming it hard into Hulk's midsection!
"Oof!"
Hulk let out a muffled grunt, his body arching upward.
Du Mu didn't stop, bending his left arm and bringing his elbow down like a heavy axe, smashing it into Hulk's back with a whistling wind!
THWACK!
Hulk was slammed face-first into the ground by the heavy blow, kicking up a cloud of dust!
Although Hulk's strength was indeed terrifying, his combat technique was virtually non-existent.
At an equal size, Hulk was no match for Du Mu at all.
Hulk struggled to get up, but Du Mu forcibly pinned him back down, wrapping his arm around Hulk's thick neck and applying constant pressure.
"ROAR! ROAR!"
Hulk thrashed violently, his limbs pounding the floor and creating deep craters, but Du Mu used leverage to lock onto his key pressure points, making it impossible for him to break free.
Watching the struggling Hulk, Du Mu comforted him, "It's okay, Hulk, feeling dizzy is normal!"
Seeing this, Peter hurried over to help, using all his strength to hold Hulk down.
With their combined efforts, the rage in Hulk's eyes gradually faded into clarity and confusion, and his physique began to shrink visibly.
Soon, Hulk transformed back into his human form, Bruce Banner.
"Right on time."
As Du Mu finished speaking, his own physique returned to its normal size.
The Red Mushroom has a time limit.
If he had delayed any longer, or allowed Hulk's rage to continue stacking, the situation would likely have reversed completely.
"Cool, is this your superpower?" Peter asked enviously.
"No, I just popped a pill to get bigger for a while."
Du Mu noticed Peter's gaze and said cheerfully, "You want one? I happen to have another piece here with similar effects; if you like it, I'll give it to you."
"Really? That wouldn't be right," Peter said, looking embarrassed.
"It's fine, I don't really need this stuff anyway."
Du Mu pulled a Blue Pill from his game inventory and tossed it to Peter, reminding him, "Remember, when you feel lethargic or weak, use this pill. I guarantee you'll be back in peak form in an instant!"
Peter took the Blue Pill and carefully tucked it into his pocket. "I understand. This is a trump card to be used only at critical moments."
"Mhm, it seems you understand perfectly."
Just as the two were talking, Bruce had already regained consciousness. He slowly opened his eyes and looked around, looking completely bewildered.
"You're awake?"
Du Mu suddenly leaned in front of Bruce.
Bruce was startled and asked, "Who are you?"
Du Mu said, "I am Du Mu. I'm here to help you escape."
"Help me escape?"
Bruce had no memory of his time as Hulk. Noticing that he was still inside Midtown High School, he said in surprise, "Hulk didn't escape? Could it be that Ross defeated him?"
"Oh no, I was the one who defeated him."
"..."
Bruce was speechless for a moment, finding it hard to believe.
He knew very well the terrifying destructive power of Hulk; even General Ross's army could barely pose a substantial threat to him.
This man in front of him had actually managed to defeat Hulk!?
But the facts were right before his eyes, and Bruce had no choice but to believe it.
"Thank you for stopping Hulk."
Bruce didn't blame Du Mu for preventing his escape; instead, he was filled with gratitude.
If Hulk had been left unchecked, heaven knows how much destruction he would have caused or how many people would have died. This was something Bruce could never accept, which was why he tried every possible way to get rid of Hulk.
Du Mu waved his hand. "Small matter. Let's talk more once we're out of here."
"Guys, I have to warn you, the army outside has already surrounded the school. I'm afraid it'll be a bit difficult for you to get out."
Seeing that Bruce didn't seem like a bad person, Peter kindly offered a warning.
Du Mu chuckled. "No worries, I have a shortcut to get out of here."
Ten minutes later.
Over a thousand meters away from Midtown High School, Du Mu and Bruce emerged from the ground.
"Your pickaxe is truly miraculous."
Bruce looked at the Diamond Pickaxe in Du Mu's hand, his face full of shock.
"No, no, your Hulk is even more miraculous."
Du Mu didn't know where the weight that appeared out of thin air came from when Bruce transformed into Hulk.
Could it be photosynthesis?
After all, Hulk is so green.
