"Why are you all here?"
Bruce gave Du Mu a death stare.
He did not need to guess. Du Mu had to be behind this again.
Du Mu chuckled. "I just got back to Gotham City, and Barry happened to be here too, so I invited the Super Seven over for a barbecue party. Diana dropped by on her way. Clark and Lois are in Los Angeles for work, and Arthur's already gone home. It would be too much trouble for him to make the trip back, so he isn't coming."
Bruce frowned. "Why didn't anyone tell me?"
Du Mu shrugged. "Well, now you know."
Bruce: "..."
He could not be bothered to argue with the guy and reached up to remove his mask.
His identity had long since stopped being a secret among the Super Seven anyway. There was no point hiding it.
Bruce helped himself to a skewer of grilled meat without hesitation and asked in a low voice, "What exactly happened in Los Angeles last night?"
There was no hiding what had happened.
Last night's battle had devastated a vast stretch of the city. The commotion had been so enormous that it was all over the internet by dawn.
Someone had taken a blurry photograph of the confrontation high in the sky. Three figures hovered in the image: an angel with pure white wings on one side and a demon wreathed in black energy on the other. Those two supposed mortal enemies had actually joined forces to attack the person between them.
Before long, someone recognized the figure in the middle as the superhero who had stopped General Zod's invasion.
Public opinion erupted.
Most people still sided with Du Mu. After all, he had saved Metropolis—and even the entire world. There was no question he was one
