Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well

After bidding Feng Wuyu farewell, the Twins' smiles faded.

The Son of God truly lived up to his name. Wherever he went, people were moved by his talent!

The Twins turned back and gazed at the towering Golden Tree. They fell silent for a moment, then looked away and left.

Inside an ordinary drink shop in Shrek City, Gu Yue leaned against the seat by the window, her gaze lingering on the people passing along the street. As if asking casually, she said, "How's the progress?"

A tall man dressed in black sat across from Gu Yue. His name was Di Tian. He lowered his head and said, "The initial experiments went well. We've tracked and investigated some Soul Masters, and we can confirm that our marks are inside their bodies."

As they spoke, a faint, flickering curtain of light surrounded them. It was a soundproof barrier. Even Soul Masters couldn't detect its presence unless they were Titled Douluo.

"Did you find anything about the Yun siblings I asked you to investigate?" Gu Yue asked.

Di Tian replied, "We only know that they seem to come from a small town somewhere in the north of the Douluo Continent. They were adopted by Shrek Academy when they were young. There's nothing else."

"No information about their birth family or clan?" Gu Yue frowned and shifted her gaze from the street to Di Tian.

Di Tian shook his head. "None."

"If even you can't find anything, then either they aren't from the Douluo Continent, or their clan has completely hidden their origins!"

Gu Yue's expression darkened.

After hesitating for a moment, Di Tian asked, "My Lord, why are you investigating these two humans? Is it simply because they're disciples of Sky-Piercing Douluo Yun Ming? Even Sky-Piercing Douluo is no match for you at your full strength! Why worry about the two of them?"

Gu Yue shook her head. She picked up the coffee in front of her and took a sip. "Those two may know who I am."

"What? How is that possible..."

Di Tian's eyes widened in disbelief. Only the Soul Beasts knew Gu Yue's identity, and even Sky-Piercing Douluo himself couldn't sense that she was a Soul Beast when she was in human form!

The Yun siblings were so young. How could they possibly know?

"It's just a vague feeling."

Gu Yue shook her head, drained her coffee, and stood. "I'll head back first. Continue with the plan. As for the Yun siblings, I need every bit of information you can find about them. Look into anything you can."

"Yes, my Lord!"

Di Tian stood and bowed as Gu Yue left.

Gu Yue stepped out of the drink shop. The gentle sunlight fell upon her, filling her with warmth. She raised her hand to shield her eyes from the sun.

Was the sunlight especially bright today?

Gu Yue didn't know that the sun and moon, circling eternally in the heavens, extended the Twins' unending field of vision.

Their meeting with Di Tian had been clearly visible beneath the light of day.

Yun Qianzhao raised a hand to catch the sunlight pouring down, his gaze deep and thoughtful.

As their cultivation improved, the warnings of danger transmitted through the radiance of the sun and moon grew clearer. Through that light, Yun Qianzhao could make out that their enemy was beneath its rays, somewhere in Shrek City!

If their enemy was in Shrek City, that narrowed down the possibilities considerably!

Given their identities, none of the teachers at Shrek Academy could be the source of danger. And few people outside the academy even knew the Twins existed. The threat that had appeared recently could only be the Silver Dragon King!

"Silver Dragon King..."

Yun Qianzhao slowly clenched his fist. Yun Qianyue came up behind him. By now, the difference in their heights had begun to show. Yun Qianzhao turned to look at his other self.

So what if she was the Silver Dragon King!

Just as the Twins sensed the threat, Ya Li knocked on their door.

Yun Qianyue went to answer it. Ya Li stood outside, accompanied by someone else the Twins knew: Zang Xin, the Tang Sect's vice sect master and Affectionate Douluo.

"Teacher, His Excellency Duoqing!"

The Twins cupped their hands in greeting. Yun Qianzhao asked, "Is something the matter?"

"The academy has told the Tang Sect about your Martial Souls. Affectionate Douluo is here to take you to the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well," Ya Li explained.

Shrek Academy and the Tang Sect had deep roots and stood together as allies, sharing information and resources. This was especially true after the Spirit Pagoda learned about the Twins. Together with the Federation's senior leadership, it had been tightening the screws on both factions.

As Yun Ming's disciples, the Twins were therefore highly valued by the Tang Sect as well.

After Yun Ming told Zang Xin about the Twins' situation, Zang Xin immediately decided to take them to the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well to choose suitable Immortal Herbs and strengthen the relationship between them.

Building a good relationship with the future leader of Shrek Academy could only benefit the Tang Sect.

Once they understood why the two had come, the Twins nodded in realization and cupped their hands to thank Zang Xin. "Thank you, His Excellency Duoqing!"

They knew about the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well. According to legend, Tang San and Huo Yuhao had both had great fortuitous encounters there on their paths to godhood, and their strength had increased tremendously as a result.

Zang Xin nodded, then said to Ya Li, "I'll take them from here!"

Ya Li nodded and watched the three of them leave.

The Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well lay deep in what had once been Sunset Forest, northwest of Heaven Dou City. By now, however, Sunset Forest had long since ceased to exist in all but name. The Tang Sect had enclosed the area and publicly claimed it was one of their experimental bases.

Yun Qianzhao and Yun Qianyue had only read about the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well in books. As they listened to Zang Xin explain things along the way and learned that many plant-type Ferocious Beasts lived there, they couldn't help but feel astonished.

"Beneath the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well lie the remains of the Ice and Fire Dragon Kings. Their immense power has sustained this blessed paradise all this time, and given these plant-type Ferocious Beasts an ideal environment to grow."

Zang Xin led the way, explaining as they walked.

After passing through a stretch of valley entrance, the three finally reached the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well. They had only just set foot there when a tall man stepped into their path.

Zang Xin immediately cupped his hands. "Qi Luo, these two are disciples of Sky-Piercing Douluo Yun Ming. I've brought them here to choose Immortal Herbs!"

The one called Qi Luo was the leader of the plant-type Ferocious Beasts here, the Aromatic Silk Beauty.

His brows knitted slightly as his gaze shifted between Yun Qianzhao and Yun Qianyue. He said in a low voice, "You should understand. Allowing Immortal Herbs to be collected once every ten years is already the greatest concession we can make! If too many are picked, the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well won't be able to withstand it."

"I understand."

Zang Xin nodded, then added, "But without the Tang Sect's protection, the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well would have fallen under the Federation's control long ago! The Tang Sect has longstanding ties with you all. The Federation doesn't!"

"Now the Spirit Pagoda and the Federation are bearing down on the Tang Sect and the academy. We don't know what the future will bring, so we need to grow stronger."

Yun Qianzhao and Yun Qianyue also knew that because they had appeared, the Spirit Pagoda and the Federation's senior leadership had been targeting Shrek Academy and the Tang Sect and making more underhanded moves than in their previous life.
