Taiyin and Taiyang

A person's greatest enemy in life was always themselves.

Defeating an enemy was easy; defeating yourself was hard! But Yun Qianzhao and Yun Qianyue would never be able to defeat each other.

Behind Yun Qianzhao and Yun Qianyue, Golden Sun and Silver Moon rose and swayed, Hundred-Year Soul Rings set around the outer edges of their Martial Souls! When you wanted to test whether the weapons in your hands were powerful, fighting yourself was the best way!

They shared the same soul, the same thoughts and senses. Every move they made was exactly alike.

Only then could it be called true training!

Fire Rain Filling the Sky, frost falling in a soft flurry.

The first Soul Skills of ice and fire were unleashed at the same time. Their battle was both offense and defense, with each attack guarded and every defense ready to strike. Neither Yun Qianzhao nor Yun Qianyue could break through the other half's defenses!

They swung their spears amid ice and fire, without any set forms, simply following their instincts.

The forces of Taiyin and Taiyang collided, stirring up an invisible storm of energy. Beneath their feet, on the ground where they stood, a Black and White Fish Diagram seemed to appear.

The flat earth became a pool shaped like two fish, and each step Yun Qianzhao and Yun Qianyue took sent flecks of light splashing up.

The powers of Taiyin and Taiyang shone together, each within the other.

"Clang—!!"

The tips of the Moon God Spear and the Sun God Spear struck together at the point where the two fish met.

Their movements were completely identical, and their spear tips met without the slightest deviation.

Yun Qianzhao and Yun Qianyue guided the two forces they had built up into a collision. The powers of Taiyin and Taiyang instantly burst forth in a chaotic shock wave, driving even the Twins who had unleashed it backward with its tremendous force.

"What incredible power!"

Yun Qianzhao cried out. A flash of excitement and exhilaration crossed the Twins' faces. Just as they were about to try some other moves, a knock suddenly sounded from outside.

"Qian Zhao, Qian Yue! It's me."

Ya Li's voice came from outside.

The two frowned slightly. What did she want?

To be honest, they hadn't chosen Shrek Academy because they admired the continent's number-one academy. They had simply picked the one that seemed better out of several shoddy, ill-mannered outfits.

Though they had become Yun Ming's disciples, that didn't mean they approved of Shrek. So no matter how much Ya Li cared for them, they never forgot that their goal was to overturn the faith in the Sea God!

They didn't think there was anything wrong with what they were doing, either. To fight despicable villains, you had to become even more despicable than they were!

They would never betray their teacher, but if Tang San counted as their ancestor, then they were absolutely going to wipe him out!

The two wore grave expressions. After putting away their weapons, they took a little time to compose themselves. Only then did Yun Qianyue go over and open the door. "What is it, Teacher's Wife?"

"It's about Qiangu Zhangting."

Ya Li entered the training room, and the lingering aura immediately caught her attention. "Were you sparring just now? I sensed the power of Ultimate Fire and Ultimate Ice."

The Twins' powers were actually quite different from Ultimate Ice and Fire, but Ya Li didn't know what the forces of Taiyin and Taiyang were. Even the Twins themselves didn't understand how their powers differed from Ultimate Ice and Fire.

So anyone who sensed these two forces would only think they were even purer powers of Ultimate Ice and Fire.

At Ya Li's question, Yun Qianyue pressed her lips together slightly. Yun Qianzhao, standing beside her, asked, "Teacher's Wife, what happened with Qiangu Zhangting?"

His question brought Ya Li's attention back to the matter at hand. She sighed. "The academy has already agreed to let him enroll. When the next semester begins, he'll study at Shrek Academy with you."

Yun Qianzhao frowned. "But how old is Qiangu Zhangting? Shrek's admission requirement is twelve. He doesn't meet it yet!"

Ya Li shook her head helplessly. "Rules are for ordinary people. He's the grandson of the Spirit Pagoda Master. If we turn him away, who knows what else Qiangu Dongfeng might do!"

Yun Qianzhao and Yun Qianyue fell silent.

What a sarcastic thing to say.

"Qiangu Zhangting is after Qian Yue! So, Qian Zhao, whatever it takes, keep an eye on your sister. Don't let that boy Qiangu Zhangting get his way!"

Ya Li warned Yun Qianzhao solemnly.

"Qian Yue, people from the Qiangu Family like to pull tricks behind the scenes. You need to be careful, too."

"Don't worry, Teacher's Wife. He'll never get his way in this lifetime!" Yun Qianyue said coldly.

After learning that Shrek Academy had agreed to let him enroll, Qiangu Zhangting happily went home to report the news to Qiangu Dongfeng.

Qiangu Dongfeng nodded with satisfaction and patted him on the shoulder. "Good lad! You haven't let me down. You must marry Yun Qianyue into our Spirit Pagoda! If that really won't work, at least find out everything you can about those siblings!"

"Yes!"

After winning Qiangu Dongfeng's approval, Qiangu Zhangting left, full of joy.

Qiangu Dieting watched his great-grandson leave in such high spirits, his expression grave.

"Sending him to Shrek Academy—how could you come up with such an idea? You know how good Shrek is at winning people over. Did you never consider that Yun Qianyue might keep him there, never to return?"

Qiangu Dieting walked to the doorway and fixed Qiangu Dongfeng with a cold stare. "Qiangu Dongfeng! If you don't want that grandson, I'll take him somewhere else to train!"

Qiangu Dongfeng's brow furrowed slightly. He looked back at his father and sighed helplessly.

The relationship between father and son was complicated. Qiangu Dongfeng spoke slowly, trying to reassure him. "Father, trust me! As the Spirit Pagoda Master, I have a plan of my own!"

"I don't believe in any of your plans. If anything happens to Zhangting at Shrek, I won't hesitate to go there myself and bring him back! Then no one will come out looking good."

Qiangu Dongfeng frowned at that. "But this isn't the time for us to fall out completely with Shrek Academy! With Yun Ming there, Shrek's position is unshakable!"

"Then find a way to deal with Yun Ming!"

Qiangu Dieting shot him a cold glance and turned to leave. Before he went, he tossed out one last sentence: "For the sake of the Qiangu Clan, I'm capable of anything!"

After he left, Qiangu Dongfeng fell silent. Only after a long while did he take a deep breath and mutter to himself, "So am I, Father!"

At the start of the new semester, Yun Qianzhao and Yun Qianyue were about to head out. They had just opened the door when they saw Qiangu Zhangting standing outside with his bag, greeting them.

"Good morning, Qian Yue!"

Their good moods, so bright that morning, were completely ruined.

The Twins walked around Qiangu Zhangting, one on either side, and headed out. Qiangu Zhangting didn't take offense. He hurried after them and said, "I'm enrolling today! Heavenly Pillar Crown has arranged for me to study on Sea God Island!"

"Mm. Got it," Yun Qianzhao replied blandly.
