Wang Sheng was pulled into the Fire Source Realm while searching for Dongfang Jinghan, then traveled with the Yuanhuo family toward a route to the Water Source Realm. After taking the Fire God Armor from an auction, he fought the City Lord, who revealed a clone-based defense.

• Wang Sheng and Dongfang Jinghan were dragged into the vortex at the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, and Wang Sheng awoke alone in a sea of flames.
• Wang Sheng met Yuanhuo Huanhuan, Yuanhuo Lingjian, and the Lion Tiger Leopard Brothers, then followed them to City 33 while seeking a way to reach the Water Source Realm.
• Wang Sheng impressed the Yuanhuo family with his strength and illusion skill, and the family head offered to take him as far as City 25.

Wang Sheng killed the city lord, infiltrated Yan Mansion, and acquired the Fire God Spear while enemies tried to hunt him. At the Lava Riverbed, the Lava Behemoth killed his pursuers, but Wang Sheng revived and began looting the battlefield.

• Wang Sheng killed the city lord with a Thunder Spear, then Dongfang Jinghan escaped the Ice Clan after revealing her Six-Winged Blood Angel martial soul.
• Wang Sheng followed the Fire God Armor’s signal to Yan Mansion, revealed his six soul rings, and defeated Yan Long and Yan Leiting to become deputy guard captain.
• Wang Sheng fought the two Spirit Douluo who had followed him, secretly looted spatial Soul Tools around Yan Mansion, and accepted Flame Blade’s invitation to join the Royal Academy.
• Wang Sheng took the Fire God Spear from Yan Xiaotian’s spatial ring and learned from Yan Leiting about the realm’s powerful factions and rankings.

Wang Sheng protected Huang'er from her family and the Shuo Clan, then challenged powerful figures in Royal City while seeking a place in the Water and Fire Realms duel. The stretch ended with him forcing Lady Fanku to kneel before Huang'er after the Third Prince backed away.

• Wang Sheng revealed his six soul rings to Fire Phoenix, who suspected the Lava Riverbed beast was a Lava Behemoth and decided to report it to the old dean.
• Wang Sheng crushed Young Master Shuo's hand, tore off his arm, and later killed Shuo Yunbao when Yan Spear and the academy instructors failed to make him apologize.
• Wang Sheng protected Huang'er from her parents and Second Master Shuo, defeating the Law Enforcement Team's attacker and warning them not to send anyone below Soul Sage strength after him.
• Wang Sheng brought Huang'er to his courtyard, accepted a Red Gold Invitation from Yun Changfeng, and arranged for trader-status documents through merchant Yan Siwu.

While they traveled onward, Wu Xiaodong’s team won the Heaven Dou Finals, and Wang Sheng later set a trap for Qing Nian and his guard.

• Wang Sheng defeated Jue and Yun, then used Illusion—Five Senses to humble Ting before accepting the Grand Duke’s cultivation slot and the Third Prince’s offer for Huang'er.
