Overview

Transformation Force is the realm in which a martial artist’s body undergoes a cellular-level transformation and their combat method shifts from relying chiefly on physical strength to drawing upon the momentum and Power of Heaven and Earth. Its practitioners are commonly called Transformation Force Grandmasters. 150 273

The realm has four major stages—Early, Middle, Late, and Completion—and every minor advancement is described as a major qualitative leap that can increase combat power by more than tenfold. 272

In Ocean City, Transformation Force Grandmasters are treated as a clan’s strategic foundation rather than ordinary combatants; deploying one in a dispute can escalate it into a life-or-death conflict between major factions. 152

This strategic significance also extends to international conflict. Miyamoto warned that four Eastern Island Transformation Force masters massacring Ocean City would amount to total war with Huaxia, rather than a limited operation to demand justice for the Third Prince’s death. 176

Grandmasters are subject to an unwritten inter-faction rule prohibiting attacks on their opponents’ families. Because their destructive reach makes mutual retaliation disastrous, a Grandmaster who first violates this rule risks being besieged by other Grandmasters. 203

Later explanations identify perfected Transformation Force with Spirit Fusion, distinguishing External Arts Spirit Fusion from the rarer Inner Landscape Spirit Fusion. External Arts practitioners rely on the surrounding world, whereas an Inner Landscape practitioner develops an internal world that supplies their own power. 374 415

Breakthrough Requirements

• Qi and blood — A practitioner needs an exceptionally strong physical foundation and sufficient qi and blood before attempting the realm. 272
• Spirit eruption — At the moment of advancement, the practitioner’s spirit must erupt strongly enough to achieve genuine inner sight. 272
• Cellular reconstruction — With inner sight, the practitioner must control violent qi and blood thread by thread, allowing it to cleanse and reshape the body’s cells. 272
• Resources — Lu Zhen used a Transformation-Charging Pill and Mistheart Snow Lotus during his breakthrough. An ordinary Transformation-Charging Pill increases the chance of success by roughly ten percent; Lu Zhen’s pill had undergone a tenfold quality enhancement. 272
• Control of excessive vitality — A powerful foundation does not automatically make advancement safe. Lu Zhen’s exceptionally hot blood and qi made his cells too active for his spirit to control, threatening bodily collapse during the reconstruction process. 272
• Intent Realm — Advancement into the late stage has the additional requirement of comprehending Intent. 315
• Age and accumulated injuries — The opportunity to reach late Transformation Force is affected by an age limit and old injuries. Blackwater Golden-Thread Lotus can remove old injuries and delay that age limit. 324

Dharma Heaven and Earth

Transformation Force practitioners can harmonize their blood energy with the momentum of heaven and earth. This allows them to manifest colossal projections or bodies that vastly amplify their combat power. 177 189

• The Control Realm governs a practitioner’s ability to borrow the Power of Heaven and Earth. 150 211
• The Control Realm is divided into five major stages governing the extent to which a practitioner can draw upon the Power of Heaven and Earth. 346

Inner Landscape Lineage

The Inner Landscape Lineage changes the source of a perfected practitioner’s power. Rather than continually borrowing from the external world, an Inner Landscape Spirit Fusion cultivator draws strength from a world formed inside their own body. Observing Martial Saints recognized Lu Zhen’s breakthrough as belonging to this extraordinarily rare and dangerous lineage. 374

Lu Zhen’s Inner Landscape formed within his Pure Yang True Body and contained a great sun, a Golden Crow, and an Azure Dragon. Its foundation vastly exceeded that of ordinary Spirit Fusion practitioners, and its emergence produced a colossal red-gold manifestation visible across the Nine Provinces. 374

Transformation Force

Transformation Force can be projected directly into an opponent’s body. Yan Min used a casual palm strike infused with it to shatter a late Dark Force opponent’s heart meridians instantly. 268

• Can bypass external durability by damaging internal organs.
• Marks a fundamental improvement over Dark Force’s penetrating rays and mental force field.
• Is supported by a body that has been transformed at the cellular level. 133 272 273
• Advancement can also transform spiritual strength. Lu Zhen’s spirit became more than twice as strong after entering the realm, allowing him to endure and use the gray mist’s corrosive effects as a form of tempering. 274

Borrowing Heaven and Earth

At this realm, raw physical strength is no longer the only decisive factor. Grandmasters borrow the surrounding world’s momentum to add overwhelming force to their attacks. 150

• A conventional Transformation Force Grandmaster can combine physical strength, force-amplification techniques, and borrowed Power of Heaven and Earth for approximately nine million jin of explosive force. 150
• Their auras are described as rounded, unified, and faintly harmonized with heaven and earth. 189

Exceptional Amplification and Its Limits

Lu Zhen’s Heavenly Gang Fiend-Invoking Secret Art illustrates how forbidden amplification methods can temporarily exceed ordinary late-stage benchmarks without constituting a completion breakthrough. Its mortal-tier stages increase strength through Blood Ignition, Bone Boiling, and Meridian Burning, but imposing such output on an ordinary Transformation Force body can destroy its meridians and bones. Lu Zhen’s exceptional physique and regeneration made these methods more viable for him. 344 345

At Profound Entry, the secret art combined tenfold surging strength with fiendish qi to form tangible fiendish gang armor. Lu Zhen estimated that its hardness and destructive power might contend with a Spirit Fusion Golden Body, although the two forms were produced through different mechanisms. 360
