"Ah... looks like even the Kaio-ken isn't enough to beat my brother." Goku scratched his head, slumping to the ground in defeat.
Just then, Piccolo appeared behind Goku, his hat and cape already shed. He struck a fighting stance, eyes locked on Raditz.
"Round two. Same as before—the two of us together. This time, we might just beat you."
A surge of confidence welled up in Piccolo. Over these past days, besides training with Gohan and taking guidance from King Kai, he'd pushed himself through extra practice. He was a different man from half a year ago.
Two top fighters joining forces against Raditz? The others stopped what they were doing, all eyes turning their way.
"The two of you might not be enough. How about this..." Raditz swept his gaze across them. "All of you come at once!"
Whoa! Big talk!
"What did you say?!" Piccolo flared with rage—the sheer disrespect!
The others bristled too. They'd all trained hard, made progress, felt reborn. To be so dismissed—who could take it?
But Goku's face was grim, his fists clenched tight.
"He's not wrong. Honestly, if we don't gang up on him, we've got no chance." Goku stared at Raditz hovering in midair, sweat beading down his face.
The fierce fight had already drained some of his stamina, and he knew Raditz hadn't really tried yet.
The moment he'd used the Kaio-ken, he'd felt the gap.
King Kai had only taught that technique to Raditz and Goku. Piccolo still carried some resentment, and the others' bodies couldn't handle it—at best, they could double their base strength. King Kai didn't want his secret skill spread carelessly; he'd only teach those who could master it!
Without a doubt, Raditz and Goku met the conditions.
But there was still a gap in how they wielded the Kaio-ken. Goku saw it, King Kai knew it, and Raditz understood it better than anyone. That's why he was so confident, bold enough to challenge them all.
"If Goku says so, let's team up for once." Krillin trusted Goku's words.
"Hmph, get out of the way!"
Piccolo roared and charged ahead, hands gathering energy as he fired two green beams. Each blast, a meter wide, scorched the air with a buzzing roar as they shot toward Raditz.
Just as the beams were about to hit, Raditz moved. With a casual wave, he deflected them, the blinding light soaring into the distance—so easily it was startling.
But Piccolo, after a brief pause, had already appeared behind him, palm poised for a chop!
Raditz's lips curled. His tail whipped around, stirring a gale! The tail again! It lashed across Piccolo's waist like a whip, sending him flying dozens of meters.
"You never learn, do you? Forgot I've still got this weapon?" Raditz swayed his tail, hovering in place, and beckoned to the others. "Come on, all of you."
"Then we won't hold back. Let's go!" Tien Shinhan clenched his fist and shot upward, launching an attack without hesitation.
Krillin, Yamcha, and Chiaotzu followed, surrounding him. The four struck in rapid succession—fists and kicks from every angle, hundreds of blows raining down without mercy.
"Ah-da-da-da-da..."
The assault came like a sudden storm. Raditz met it at even greater speed, as if sprouting eight arms, handling the siege with ease.
A relentless clatter of blows shook the clouds of Otherworld, pushing them back.
The more they fought, the more alarmed they grew. Against four attackers, Raditz stayed calm, his expression unchanged—unbelievable. If they kept this up, their chances were slim.
Gritting his teeth, Krillin leaped back and shouted, "Close your eyes!"
With the call, he spread his fingers, palms outward, and his bald head blazed with blinding light!
Solar Flare!
"Not good!"
Raditz grunted. The intense light stabbed into his eyes like needles, and he instinctively shut them. The searing burn left him unable to open them for a moment.
In that instant, Tien Shinhan and Yamcha flanked him from left and right. Yamcha unleashed the New Wolf Fang Fist, his punches so fast they seemed like wolves riding the wind, fierce and stormy.
Just as they were about to land, a sudden shift!
Raditz had learned to sense ki. Though blind, he could feel their attack's energy. He fired a Kikoho from each hand, hitting them square on.
"Pang!"
"Swoosh—""Swoosh—"
Two figures plummeted from the sky, crashing into the ground and forming huge craters. The earth churned with rubble, cracks spreading all the way to King Kai's feet...
King Kai watched his planet get blasted into pits, his heart aching. You bastards, go back to Earth if you want to fight!
But no one paid him any mind...
Raditz knew it wasn't over. A stronger ki was rising from below—a battle power condensed to its peak, nearing the breaking point.
"Ka—me—ha—me—ha!!!"
Sure enough! Goku's Kamehameha!
Raditz's fighting spirit ignited. His body tensed, aura blazing, as he gathered energy in both hands aimed downward: "Shining Impact Wave!"
The blinding light collided midair, forming a massive sphere at the point of impact. The air around it turned razor-sharp, screaming as it tore apart.
At the same time, Chiaotzu tried to freeze Raditz with telekinesis, and Piccolo charged from the side!
"Kaio-ken!" Goku seized the moment, unleashing his full power. His aura burned red, doubling the Kamehameha's force. His muscles bulged, veins standing out on his forehead, sweat pouring down.
The sphere pushed rapidly toward Raditz, about to swallow him whole.
Raditz struggled against the Kamehameha, gritting his teeth. Chiaotzu's psychic powers had no effect, but Piccolo's attacks worried him. With no other choice, he unleashed his hidden power!
It was also the Kaio-ken.
In the blink of an eye, the Shining Impact Wave's power doubled, pushing back the Kamehameha as the sphere of light closed in on Goku! Then, Raditz's figure suddenly vanished midair, a red flash of light streaking behind Piccolo in an instant, a knife-hand strike chopping into the back of his neck.
Piccolo's body froze, then plummeted downward.
Just then, Goku barely managed to neutralize the Shining Impact Wave's force, his hands numb. The Kaio-ken state remained, but his stamina was severely drained. Raditz charged in, launching a relentless assault that left Goku barely able to defend.
Within ten exchanges, Goku's body was covered in wounds. Each punch seemed to pierce right through him, the force of the strikes bursting out from his back.
"Ha!" Unyielding, Piccolo attacked again, a barrage of continuous Ki Blasts!
Raditz dodged at full speed, leaving no afterimage behind, appearing before Piccolo in an instant. He spun and kicked him away. Meanwhile, those Ki Blasts all hit Goku square on.
"Hm?" Suddenly, a wave of unease surged through Raditz, a chill running down his spine. He looked up to see Tien Shinhan's Kikoho already ready. To the side, a round Ki Blast had locked onto him—Yamcha's Spirit Ball!
Did you think I'd let you succeed?
Raditz struck first, quickly spreading his arms and releasing an invisible wave of energy. With sheer power alone, he sent both of them flying!
The Kikoho shot wide, vanishing into the yellow sea of clouds, while the Spirit Ball, out of control, flew off to who knows where. The two winced in pain, gritting their teeth as they looked for Raditz—but he was already gone.
"Right here."
An icy voice sent a chill through their hearts.
"Boom!..."
"Thud!"
In quick succession, Tien Shinhan and Yamcha were knocked to the ground. The tenacious Piccolo charged again, only to be kicked over once more. Krillin and Chiaotzu raised their hands in surrender. Goku barely managed a few more exchanges before being blasted into King Kai's Planet's soil once again.
With that, Raditz had won decisively. His breathing grew ragged, but a smile still lingered on his face.
King Kai stood dumbfounded, staring at the battered landscape of his planet, his lips trembling. His beloved car lay overturned nearby, nothing but four wheels left, a lonely steering wheel scattered across the road... If King Kai knew any curse words, he'd definitely be saying three of them right now.
