The sun had just set behind the dunes, and the oppressive heat vanished in an instant, sending an involuntary chill through the body.

The knight did not respond. He merely raised his head and looked at the Pharaoh King.

The knight swiftly dodged. There was no smile on Ozymandias's face as he raised his scepter and pointed it at Anno. A massive pillar of light crashed down from the sky, striking the spot where Anno had just been standing.
"...Mockery."
"Even I, the broad-minded King of Kings, can sense mockery in your words."
"Therefore, as the Pharaoh who rules over all, I—"

Another pillar of light blasted toward Anno, thicker and brighter than the last.
"Sentence you to death."
Anno did not panic.
A dazzling radiance erupted from the Chalk Holy Sword. He gripped it with both hands and slashed directly at the pillar of light.
Clang—
The broad pillar of light was caught by the Holy Sword's radiance.
Anno's expression remained composed. With a flick of his wrist and a slight exertion of strength—
Clang—Boom!!!
The pillar of light was cleaved in two by the Holy Sword, shooting past either side of his body and into the dunes behind him. The sand melted, leaving deep pits in the dunes.
"You call yourself the Sun King, yet you have lost even the ability to distinguish lies?" Anno straightened up and continued looking at Ozymandias. "And as a knight, I naturally would not lie."
He declared with utter righteousness, "I really am lost."
The corner of Ozymandias's mouth visibly twitched.
He had not believed him much before, but now he actually began to believe this mysterious knight's words a little.
This utterly serious, righteous manner of
