Lawrence held a spherical, gleaming gemstone in both hands and gently placed it against the chest of the beast-like Servant.
The gemstone shattered, exploding into dust and bringing the Servant dressed as a warrior monk within the range of its healing as well.
"You've been a tremendous help, beautiful Servant." Feeling his injuries recover, Benkei finally let out a sigh of relief.
"Mushhushu. I recall it being a venomous Demonic Beast. No wonder you were injured so badly." Lawrence looked at the still-unconscious Mordred and let out a long sigh, a trace of pity in his expression.
"Sir Mordred suffered such grave injuries in order to cover this humble monk's retreat." Benkei's voice was full of self-reproach and guilt. "With Sir Mordred's speed, she certainly could have escaped first."
"Grr..." The beast-like Mordred seemed to regain a little consciousness, letting out a low, growl-like sound from her throat.
The current Mordred had not been summoned as a Saber, as the knight of the Round Table. She had been summoned as a Berserker, in the frenzied form of the Knights of the Round Table who brought destruction.
Yet no matter what form she was summoned in, she would still fight for this world.
"Since you've already returned to Uruk, don't dwell on such thoughts anymore. I'm not entirely sure what happened either, but desperate times call for desperate measures." Lawrence hesitated for a moment before reaching out and gently stroking Mordred's head twice.
Benkei watched Lawrence's actions and seemed to want to say something. But when he noticed the sorrow in Lawrence's eyes, he ultimately said nothing.
"Were you also a Servant summoned by the King of Heroes?" Sitting cross-legged, he asked earnestly.
"My Master is Fujimaru Ritsuka of Chaldea, but I'm currently fighting for Uruk's King of Heroes as well."
