"You needn't explain. I already understand the situation."
Within the palace, Gilgamesh was looking down at his clay tablet. Without even raising his head, he spoke to Lawrence and Nanshe.
"You needn't waste your thoughts on what it said. Hmph, a boring piece of trash. If it truly had the power to destroy everything right now, it would never have fled in panic the moment Nanshe unleashed her Noble Phantasm."
A cold sneer rested on his face. "I will kill it with my own hands. Of course, if you believe you hate it more than I do, then by all means, make your move."
"Its death and our survival are both inevitable."
"I was never afraid, nor was I troubled by anything, King of Heroes." Lawrence gently shook her head. "I was merely weighing the risks."
"Heh, I had forgotten, Lawrence. You are a Servant who has experienced several Singularities." Gilgamesh raised his head and glanced at Lawrence, tilting his head as he smiled and lightly shook it. "But someone like you would stop fighting merely because of risk?"
"Or are your experiences across all those Singularities truly only worth this much?"
Gilgamesh's tongue was sharp, and cruel.
Nanshe looked at Lawrence with some concern. She was afraid Gilgamesh's biting words might put other thoughts into Lawrence's mind.
"No, I am not merely worth this much. Please allow me to refute that, King of Heroes."
Faced with Gilgamesh's utterly merciless words, Lawrence maintained a gentle smile and impeccable composure.
"What I weigh has always included my own death."
"This is a battle to save everything, but it is also a battle in which we may lose everything. If we did not possess the resolve to walk toward death, then how could Chaldea, myself included, have come this far?"
