"So... you still don't like eating them?"
Ryuunosuke Uryuu tossed a bloody severed limb from hand to hand, baring his teeth.
Beside him stood an oni.
The two stood on a hillside southwest of Fuyuki City. Ibaraki Douji crouched down, her face full of impatience, yet her gaze toward Fuyuki City carried a strange emotion.
"I told you, humans don't taste good. Their flesh reeks disgustingly, and on top of that, they look so revolting."
As she spoke, she pressed a hand to her forehead and sighed.
"Why did my Master have to be someone like this?"
Listening to Ibaraki's words, Ryuunosuke scratched his head in confusion. He brought the severed arm to his mouth and sniffed at it.
"It stinks? I don't smell anything. I'm pretty confident in my sense of smell. Or do oni smell things differently from humans?"
"And besides."

Ryuunosuke tossed the arm aside, back toward its owner. Right next to the human and the oni lay a corpse that appeared to have died only recently—a young girl dressed like a hiker, seemingly someone who had come out for a weekend trip.
But now, she could never return home.
"Why is the demon I summoned an Ibaraki-chan?"
Ryuunosuke puffed out his cheeks. Combined with his sunny, lively, somewhat handsome face, he had the air of a fresh-faced young man.
Yet that youthful, sunny impression became utterly sinister and terrifying when paired with the streak of blood on his face.
More importantly, there was killing intent in the way he looked at Ibaraki.
He stood behind Ibaraki, staring at her slender neck as he swallowed.
"...Say, Ibaraki-chan."
After hesitating for a long while, he decided to ask politely—it would make him seem more courteous.
"Boy, do I need to warn you again?"
Ibaraki answered his courtesy
