The next day, Fujimaru Ritsuka was awakened by a string of urgent, hurried calls.
"Ritsuka? Ritsuka!"
"Can you hear me? Ritsuka! Answer if you can hear me!"
Fujimaru Ritsuka struggled upright, feeling somewhat weak all over.
"That voice... is that Miss Lawrence?"

Rubbing his temples to quickly clear his groggy head, Fujimaru Ritsuka asked Lawrence.
"It's been nearly eighty hours." Da Vinci's somewhat weary voice came through. "Not long after you entered Black River Mountain, we discovered that your communications had been completely cut off from Chaldea. If it hadn't been for the life-monitoring equipment continuing to function normally, indicating that only your communications had been blocked, we..."
Da Vinci did not dare continue.
If they lost Fujimaru Ritsuka, then in a sense, Chaldea would lose its reason to continue operating as well.
"Eighty hours? Entered Black River Mountain?"
Fujimaru Ritsuka froze.
"Ritsuka, how are things over there? Did you defeat Kurokawa Hideo? Or did Kurokawa Hideo do something?"
