Strange mirrors and the Phantasmal Spirits within them blocked the way ahead and behind. Buildings lay to the south, the Thames to the north. Chaldea was caught in a dilemma.
"Miss Lawrence, attack those mirrors!" Fujimaru Ritsuka ordered.
Whether they were the large mirrors capable of creating Phantasmal Spirits or the smaller mirrors that had appeared out of nowhere, they were clearly all suspicious.

Several of the closer small mirrors were shattered by Lawrence's jeweled blades. But when the blades approached the large mirrors, the Phantasmal Spirits both inside and outside the mirrors moved with remarkable unity to stop them.
Fujimaru Ritsuka understood at once.

Carmilla circled around a towering Phantasmal Spirit and swung her scepter at the mirror.
Yet a hand suddenly emerged from within the mirror and knocked Carmilla's scepter away.
"There's another one!?" Carmilla landed in Simonetta's arms, cushioning the force from the towering Phantasmal Spirit, and frowned.

"It's hard to attack the mirrors." Under Mash's cover, Carmilla retreated and spoke to Lawrence and Fujimaru Ritsuka.
In just those dozen or so seconds, every mirror had produced at least three more powerful Phantasmal Spirits. They guarded the mirrors while closing in on Chaldea.
Lawrence began to feel troubled.
The mirrors themselves were easy to destroy and not very durable, but the Phantasmal Spirits emerging
