"Then I won't disturb you two any longer! Goodbye!"

Fujimaru Tachibana left. Just as when she had first come over to greet them, she was brash and energetic. After introducing herself, and after Artoria and Su Yun responded instinctively, she immediately departed.

She did not linger for even a minute, as though she had simply come over to say hello.

In truth, that had indeed been Fujimaru Tachibana's intention. Seeing the two of them had stirred something in her heart, so she wanted to greet them. And as soon as the thought occurred to her, she acted on it, walking right over and going through the entire process of saying hello.

That straightforward, tigerish energy was the impression Fujimaru Tachibana gave people.

Calling her careless would not quite be right, either, because she had been very earnest when greeting them. There was nothing giggly or frivolous about her. She sincerely introduced herself and sincerely expressed her wish to contribute to saving the world.

After a while, Artoria finally commented, "How should I put it... she's a very pure person?"

Su Yun smiled. "She's pretty cute too. When she wants to do something, she works hard at it—hard to accomplish what she believes she should do."

Artoria fell silent for a moment, then murmured, "Bearing her own destiny, huh? What an unpleasant feeling. Being bound by fate and all that..."

Su Yun shook his head. "I don't think it's some kind of constraint imposed by fate. It's simply what the girl named Fujimaru Tachibana wants to do."

"It isn't for some grand cause of saving humanity, nor is it to accomplish some great feat. She wants to do it, so she decided that she would."

Artoria paused. "Is that so? That's how you see it, A-Yun?"

Su Yun spread his hands.
