On the first day at the Ninja Academy, training began for the special class.
The teacher in charge of the class wasn't Iruka, but Konoha's taijutsu expert, Might Guy.
"Students, I'm Might Guy, your homeroom teacher!" Might Guy said energetically. "We'll train with youth and passion!"
The students in the classroom exchanged glances. Everyone except Xingye struggled to keep up with Might Guy's enthusiasm.
"Now, let's test your abilities," Might Guy said. "Each of you will take turns sparring with me."
Sasuke was the first to step forward.
Sasuke activated his One-Tomoe Sharingan and engaged Might Guy.
But after only a few exchanges, Might Guy defeated him with ease.
"Your Sharingan is good, but your taijutsu still needs work," Might Guy commented. "Keep training!"
Sasuke clenched his fists in frustration.
Hinata was the second to step forward.
Hinata activated her Byakugan, showing off its keen perception.
But Might Guy was faster, and Hinata couldn't keep up with his movements.
"Your Byakugan is impressive, but you need stronger taijutsu to support it," Might Guy commented. "Keep it up!"
Hinata stepped back, looking a little disappointed.
Kiba was the third to step forward.
Kiba had Akamaru transform, and the two attacked in tandem, but they were still no match for Might Guy.
"Good teamwork, but you still need to improve your individual abilities," Might Guy commented.
Kiba frowned in defiance.
Shino was the fourth to step forward.
Shino released his Kikaichū, trying to trap Might Guy.
But Might Guy easily countered them with taijutsu.
"Your bugs are impressive, but you need to make better use of tactics," Might Guy commented.
Shino quietly stepped back.
Kurenai was the fifth to step forward.
Kurenai used genjutsu, trying to confuse Might Guy.
But Might Guy had a strong mind, so the genjutsu had little effect.
"Your genjutsu is good, but you need greater strength to support it," Might Guy commented.
Kurenai looked a little frustrated.
At last, it was Xingye's turn.
Xingye rose and walked over to Might Guy.
"Xingye, I heard you fought Kakashi, the Anbu Captain, to a draw." A glint of battle lust flashed in Might Guy's eyes. "Show me what you can do!"
Xingye nodded, his expression calm.
"Please go easy on me."
Might Guy launched straight into an attack. "Eight Inner Gates, first gate—Gate of Opening!"
In an instant, Might Guy's speed surged.
But Xingye's Three-Tomoe Sharingan clearly tracked his movements.
His Byakugan's 360-degree vision ensured there were no blind spots.
Xingye moved like a phantom, easily dodging every one of Might Guy's attacks.
Then Xingye counterattacked.
Lightning Release chakra gathered in his palm. "Chidori Sharp Spear!"
Lightning flashed, and arcs of electricity danced.
Might Guy's pupils contracted. He hurriedly opened the second gate of the Eight Inner Gates—Gate of Healing.
Even so, the Chidori Sharp Spear broke through his defense and struck his shoulder.
"So strong..." Might Guy exclaimed. "Xingye, are you really only at Chunin level?"
Xingye let the Lightning Release chakra fade and smiled faintly.
"More or less."
The other students were stunned.
Might Guy had just defeated every one of them with ease, but Xingye had completely outclassed him.
Is this what a monster of the Uchiha Clan looks like? Sasuke muttered to himself, a glint of frustration in his eyes.
Hinata gazed at Xingye, her eyes shining with admiration.
Kiba and Shino exchanged a look, each seeing the shock in the other's eyes.
Kurenai's mouth fell open. She couldn't believe what she was seeing.
"Xingye, you really are powerful." Might Guy patted him on the shoulder. "Keep it up, and you'll become a great ninja."
[Acquired talents: Taijutsu (Green), Eight Inner Gates (Blue), Youthful Passion (Green)]
The system's notification sounded in Xingye's mind.
Xingye was delighted.
The Eight Inner Gates was a forbidden technique that even Madara Uchiha couldn't easily master, and he had just acquired it from Might Guy!
The taijutsu talent was an important foundation, too.
And although "Youthful Passion" didn't seem very useful, it was actually a mental attribute that could boost the motivation to train.
"Starting today, I'll guide your training," Might Guy said. "But I believe Xingye will surpass me soon."
The atmosphere in the classroom shifted.
Sasuke had been the strongest in the class, but now everyone understood that Xingye was the real strongest.
"I have to get stronger, too..." Sasuke clenched his fists, his fighting spirit igniting.
"Xingye is so amazing..." Hinata murmured, her cheeks turning slightly red.
"That blond kid..." Kiba looked at Xingye. "I'm going to surpass him, too!"
Sensing the change in those around him, Xingye was satisfied.
This special class will be an important resource for me. Xingye thought to himself. Especially Sasuke and Hinata—they have incredible talent.
Just then, Iruka walked in.
"Xingye, the Third Hokage wants to see you," Iruka said.
Xingye nodded and followed Iruka out of the classroom.
As they walked toward the Hokage Building, Xingye already had a good idea why the Third Hokage wanted to see him.
It was probably because of his early entry into the Chunin Ninja Exams.
Third Hokage, are you ready to be surprised? Xingye thought to himself, a cold glint in his eyes. I'll make the entire Shinobi World remember the name Uchiha Xingye.
