Not only was Avril's injury unable to heal, it was steadily worsening!
"Useless... little beauty..." Ansel pressed himself against Avril's back and blew softly into her ear, speaking gently and slowly. "If you had reached level twenty-five, perhaps you could have held out against me for a moment. But you're only level twenty-two. If I want to kill you, you have no power to stop me!" Ansel's tone was like that of a lover whispering sweet nothings, yet the four women who heard him felt a bone-deep chill.
Avril forced out a difficult smile. "I-Is that so? Then... then you really... really underestimate us Zerg... Ansel, was it? Just wait. My Emperor... will personally come for you..." Though Avril's words came in broken fragments, there was not the slightest trace of sorrow in her tone. Instead, they were filled with menace!
