Background / History
Ye Luo was an ordinary human from Earth who fell unconscious while playing League of Legends. The Heart of the Zerg sensed and summoned his soul into a new world, where he awoke in the body of the Zerg Emperor in a primeval forest. His first subordinate, Ye You, informed him that he had become the Zerg’s Overlord. 1
Early in his reign, Ye Luo tested his new abilities against magical beasts, learned to command Zerg units, and became involved in the conflict with the Keren Kingdom. After surviving Warwick and Barrit’s pursuit by transforming into a Flying Ant and hiding inside a Lurker, he awoke from a coma determined to retaliate against the kingdom. 1 29
His rule expanded from a planetary Zerg base into an interstellar civilization. He gained the Dragon Race’s allegiance as the prophesied Dragon Emperor, accepted the Zerg’s ancient Overmind identity, and later unified or subjugated multiple civilizations under Zerg authority. 125 712 758
Appearance
Ye Luo is a tall, lean, handsome man with black hair and a notably confident, sometimes wicked smile. His appearance changes considerably when he equips Zerg Armament. 470 538
- Normally has short black hair when not wearing Zerg Armament. 538
- Has also been depicted with long jet-black hair during battle. 470
- Wears black, tapered Overmind Armament covered in sharp barbs at the joints. 711
- The Crimson Undying Armor merges into his original armament, adding dark-red patterns across its black surface. 711
- His evolved armor has nearly transparent spikes on the elbows and knees, making them difficult to notice in high-speed combat. 239
- At formal occasions, he wears blue robes embroidered with white-and-gold sun, moon, and star patterns. 39
Personality
Ye Luo is ambitious, prideful, and intensely determined to expand the Zerg. He regards the unification of the Immortal-Demon Realm, the starry sky, and ultimately the three great races as steps toward a greater goal rather than final achievements. 340 358 758
He is a calculating strategist who prefers extracting advantages from alliances, negotiations, resources, and enemy divisions. He uses false identities, clones, staged conflicts, and military feints without hesitation when they further Zerg interests. 71 483 758 773
Despite his imperial image, Ye Luo is informal around trusted companions. He trades jokes with Ruan Yu Mengchen, teases his subordinates, and frequently makes references to his Earth upbringing. 53 305 385
Ye Luo can be ruthless toward enemies and defiant factions, but he is protective of people he accepts as his own. He aids Guang Yuxing because he considers the latter’s troubles his own, protects Su Jing from vampire retaliation, and returns to Earth to assist his family. 398 741 743
Although he briefly resolves to command from the rear after witnessing Yarman’s death, Ye Luo later acknowledges that he prefers fighting alongside his Zerg heroes rather than becoming a detached commander. 50 629

- Creates mental shields capable of resisting damage unless his mental power is destroyed in a single strike. 538

- Divides into four avatars, each holding one-quarter of his soul and mental power. 759
- Uses avatars to command separate Zerg fronts, hide in the Koprulu Sector, and search human and Protoss territory for divine equipment. 759
- Limits avatar strength because sealed avatars cannot draw on the mental power of the others. 777
Vortex Inscription and Artifact Absorption
The vortex inscription on Ye Luo’s hand allows him to absorb and integrate powerful materials, artifacts, and energy sources. 533 806
- Absorbs the Holy Court Armor and its artifact spirit, Holy Knight Caesar, into his Zerg Armament. 533
- Integrates the Light of the Khala as though it were a resource for the Zerg. 806
- Uses absorbed divine equipment to sense the locations of further armament pieces. 759
Three-Legged Golden Crows and Li Fire Phoenix
Ye Luo possesses Three-Legged Golden Crows that protect him from extreme flames and later evolve into a Li Fire Phoenix. 381 630
- The Golden Crows protect him from Moyuan’s demonic flames. 381
- Absorb one of the Sacred Beast Qilin’s powerful flames. 545
