Even Captain Unohana had praised him to no end and repeatedly tried to recruit him into the Fourth Division to inherit her legacy.
But none of that was what Kuchiki Sojun cared about.
Seeing that the kid was never going to stop prying, Kisaragi Akira tossed out, "You can ask Captain Unohana for the details," then rolled over and went to sleep.
He had been pushing himself hard lately.
First, he had wiped out Hekisa's ordinary Hollows, destroyed the Rebel Assassins, and fought Hekisa's Menos Grande. Then he had enjoyed medical care worthy of Unohana, before staying up late to study and practice the Death Sword Style.
Even Sosuke couldn't match him for sheer effort.

At the thought, Kisaragi Akira felt a little pleased with himself and went to sleep in peace.
Kuchiki Sojun stared blankly at his back, unable to close his eyes for a long time.
Having a juicy secret right in front of him and still not knowing it felt like having countless ants crawling all over him. Forget falling asleep—he couldn't even calm down.
But his good manners and upbringing wouldn't let him do something as low as disturbing someone's sleep.
So Kuchiki Sojun spent the entire night awake, with dark circles under his eyes.
The night passed uneventfully.
Early the next morning, Unohana Retsu came to the ward to check on the two of them.
"Did you ignore the doctor's orders? Not getting enough rest can affect your recovery, too."
After a brief
