Where Will I Sleep Tonight?

That night, Lu Qiming and Eina walked out of a restaurant.

"Burp! Eina, this place tastes amazing!"

Lu Qiming rubbed his round belly and staggered along. He'd originally thought the food in this world couldn't possibly compare to the cuisine of his homeland, with its five thousand years of history.

But after his first bite, he had to admit that the food in this world was indeed quite a bit better than back home.

It really was a fantasy world blessed with the gods. The fragrant, tender Magic Beast Meat, the exquisite magical cooking techniques, all kinds of unusual seasonings, and the culinary skills passed down by the God of Food had left him unable to stop eating.

"Of course! This is a chain restaurant run by the Ganesha Familia, and it's popular all over the world!"

Eina looked at her wallet with a pained expression. The restaurant's food was delicious, but it was also incredibly expensive. And then there was Lu Qiming's bottomless appetite after his enhancement.

In a single meal tonight, Lu Qiming had nearly eaten the equivalent of half a year's wages.

Still, Eina didn't say anything. She had invited Lu Qiming, and she couldn't very well let a friend she'd invited go hungry!

"Thank you, Eina."

Lu Qiming looked at Eina beside him, trying hard not to laugh as she fretted over her wallet while pretending not to care. He'd been about to pay, but Eina had insisted that she'd invited him and there was no way she'd let him pay.

"Don't mention it."

Eina forced herself to smile at Lu Qiming, letting him know he didn't need to worry about it.

"I'll be off, then. Be careful on your way home, Eina."

"Mm. See you tomorrow."

"See you tomorrow."

While Eina wasn't looking, Lu Qiming lightly brushed his hand across her waist. Then he walked off in the other direction as though nothing had happened. Eina watched him go and let out a helpless sigh.

Even so, she didn't regret treating Lu Qiming to dinner at all. Even if she'd known just how much he could eat, she would still have invited him that afternoon.

After all, there weren't many people in this world one could sincerely call friends. In Eina's eyes, Lu Qiming was a good friend. It had nothing to do with his strength; beneath that feigned coldness, Eina could sense a kind heart.

Curious, Eina took it out. A white piece of paper was wrapped around ten coins, each worth ten thousand Valis.

"What's this?"

Eina didn't remember having an extra hundred thousand Valis on her. She stared at the coins in confusion. Then she suddenly remembered that Lu Qiming had moved close to her for a moment when they parted.

She hadn't noticed at the time and had assumed Lu Qiming had simply lost his footing in the dark. It seemed he'd quietly slipped the hundred thousand Valis into her pocket then. Eina was a little unhappy when she thought about it. She'd invited him to dinner, so why had Lu Qiming given her money as he left? What was that supposed to mean?

Just then, Eina noticed there seemed to be writing on the paper wrapped around the Valis. She carefully picked it up and saw the words: "Eina, I'm lending you this hundred thousand Valis. Don't just borrow it and never pay me back!

Your friend, Lu Qiming."

"(ˉ▽￣~) Tch! That brat. Who does he think I am? Honestly."

Eina looked at the note. Her words said one thing, but the smile at the corners of her mouth grew wider and wider.

"You little brat. See you tomorrow."

He was nothing like the burly adventurers she usually dealt with. Even if she couldn't charge a single Valis and had to let him drink tea for free, she'd gladly take a catch like him!

"Hey, little brother, who are you looking for? Why don't you come inside and have some fun with big sister? I'll show you a whole different world. It's exciting, and I guarantee you'll want to come back!"

Anya fought the urge to carry Lu Qiming straight to a room and have her way with him on the spot. Then, with a sweet voice, she walked up to him, raising her chest and revealing a deep, shadowy cleavage.

"Um, I'm here to see Sister Tia. When I first arrived in Orario this morning, I didn't know the way to the Adventurer Guild, so she gave me directions. She also said I could come here and see her tonight whether or not I'd made any money."
