Emergency Rescue, the Guild's Reaction

On the Adventurer Street.

Orario's Level 1 adventurers Double Cut and Angry Snake were walking together, fully equipped.

"Sis, why the sudden urge to drag me to the Dungeon today?" Tiona asked her companion, sounding somewhat dissatisfied.

"You've got nothing going on anyway, so you might as well accompany me to the Dungeon and earn some extra cash," Tione replied, brushing off her sister's comment.

"Ugh, why? I just finished resting. You shouldn't be that short on money, right? Is there something expensive you're planning to buy?" Tiona asked, brimming with curiosity.

"Not exactly. I tried to ask the Captain out on a date a few days ago, but he turned me down, saying he had to finish the financial reports."

Tione spoke with a hint of regret.

"Isn't that a given? The Captain has never once agreed to go on a date with you, you know."

Tiona retorted, her face expressionless as she poked fun at her sister.

"That's not true! I'll definitely make the Captain fall for me one day!"

Tione vehemently refuted her sister's words.

"I happened to see the Captain planning the next deep-level expedition, and he seemed worried about the Familia's supply reserves. Since you're free, coming to the Dungeon with me to earn some money is killing two birds with one stone."

Tione straightened her posture, looking smug as she spoke to her sister.

Tiona watched as her sister suddenly stood tall, causing her chest to sway like waves.

As if deliberately showing off in front of her, Tiona's expression began to shift and twist, and she said with a touch of anger, "What kind of 'killing two birds with one stone' is that! You're just dragging me along to earn more money so you can beg for praise from the Captain! Damn it, why are we so different even though we're sisters?"

The Amazon sisters continued their lively banter as they made their way down Adventurer Street toward the Guild headquarters.

As they neared the headquarters, Tiona asked, "Since we're heading to the Dungeon at this hour, which floor are we aiming for?"

"Let's head straight for the twelfth floor. The monsters there are all melee-types, and the Magic Stone drops are decent in both size and quantity."

Tione answered her sister's inquiry.

After killing monsters in the Dungeon, special drops are usually a matter of luck; therefore, for adventurers focused on profit, the Magic Stones that monsters are guaranteed to drop upon death are the standard equivalent of currency.

The Guild has various processing methods for Magic Stones of different quality, which are then crafted into commercial goods.

Because of this, when adventurers exchange Magic Stones for Valis at the Guild, the quality of the stones determines the amount of money received.

Generally speaking, the more powerful the monster, the higher the value of the Magic Stone it drops.

The twelfth floor is the closest floor to the Middle Floors.

The currently explored area of the Dungeon reaches down to the fifty-eighth floor, and based on the difficulty of adventuring, it is roughly divided into the Upper Floors, Middle Floors, Lower Floors, and Deep Floors.

Floors one through twelve are classified as the Upper Floors.

Floors thirteen through twenty-four are classified as the Middle Floors.

Floors twenty-five through thirty-six are classified as the Lower Floors.

From the thirty-seventh floor onward, they are classified as the Deep Floors.

In a Dungeon categorized by difficulty, each stage represents a significant leap in danger.

Starting from the thirteenth floor, monsters that use magic begin to appear.

Naturally, the deeper the floor, the stronger the monsters, and the higher the value of the Magic Stones they drop.

"It's almost evening. If we head to the twelfth floor now, we'll be back just in time for dinner," Tione suggested to her sister.

"Fine~" Tiona replied, sounding listless.

"Cheer up," Tione comforted her.

The two walked together until they reached the Guild and entered the main hall.

Upon entering, they saw many people gathered around the bulletin board specifically set up for adventurers, talking in a noisy, chaotic manner.

Looking at the crowd gathered around the Guild's notice board, Tiona asked with curiosity, "Is there some kind of event at the Guild? So many people are gathered together."

"If you're interested, just go take a look. It'll save you from pestering people with questions once we're in the Dungeon."

Tione, unlike her sister, wasn't interested in the notice, feeling only a sense of helplessness toward her sister's insatiable curiosity.

"Then I'm going to take a look~" Tiona, unable to suppress her curiosity, walked toward the crowded group.

"Honestly, hurry back once you've seen it," her sister said loudly, watching her sister's retreating figure with a sigh.

Tiona relied on her Level 5 brute strength to force her way through the crowd of onlookers, sparking a chorus of angry shouts and disputes.

When she reached the notice board, she stuck out her tongue sheepishly before looking up at the posted announcement.

"Abnormal situation in the Upper Floors! Newcomers are advised not to enter the Dungeon recently. Urgent summons for high-level adventurers; those interested, please contact staff as soon as possible. Oh~"

Tiona muttered as she read the content, "How rare. I should tell my sister."

She turned and squeezed back into the crowd, causing another wave of chaos before finally breaking free from the group surrounding the notice board.

"Sister."

Just as she cleared the crowd and called out to Tione to share the news, she saw her sister standing there waiting, accompanied by a female Guild staff member.

The staff member was speaking to Tione with a look of deep anxiety. As Tione gave a slight nod, the woman's expression eased; she bowed in thanks and hurried away.

Having finished her conversation, Tione turned toward Tiona upon hearing her name. Her eyes held a grave look as she gazed at her younger sister.

Seeing Tiona approach, Tione asked, "Does the notice say an abnormal situation has occurred?"

"Yeah. They're even gathering people to go resolve it." Tiona replied, then glanced at the departing Guild member and suddenly realized, "Does the Guild intend for us to handle it?"

"The Guild has already urgently organized a group of low-level adventurers to enter the Dungeon to investigate."

Tione said to her sister, "We are heading down there now as well."

"Eh~ Since people have already gone down to scout, do we really need to be in such a rush?"

She didn't understand her sister's words. Aside from members of their Familia and Finn, her sister was usually indifferent to everything else; why was she so urgent now?

Tione looked at her sister with a stern face: "According to those who fled the Dungeon, the adventurers on the Upper Floors are in big trouble. Not only have multiple abnormal monsters appeared, but they are also commanding a massive swarm of Killer Ant to advance toward the surface. The people the Guild urgently organized are mostly Level 1; they won't be able to handle this."

"But why are we in such a hurry? We have time to report to Finn first." Tiona hinted to her sister that this was a perfect excuse to get close to Finn.

Tione frowned deeply as she spoke.

"Lefiya and the newcomer? Why do you say that?" Tiona asked, immediately puzzled.

"Lefiya has been assigned to temporarily party with the newcomer," her sister answered.

"Eh—how did you know that?" Tiona wondered where Tione had gotten this information.

"The Captain told me when I went to see him yesterday."

Tione, who had been frowning with a grave expression, suddenly changed her demeanor upon hearing her sister's question.

She wore a look of pure pride.

Watching her sister fall into a daze the moment the Captain was mentioned, Tiona felt a vein throb on her forehead and immediately dragged her sister toward the Dungeon.

"You really are as unreliable as ever! Don't get lost in your weird fantasies at a time like this!! If you knew earlier, hurry up! Lefiya and the newcomer are in grave danger!!!"

"Ah! Right."

Pulled along by her sister, Tione snapped back to reality.

She quickened her pace, rushing toward the entrance of the Dungeon alongside Tiona.
