Background / History

Lefiya trained in the School District from the age of eight, where elves could train safely. She joined the Loki Familia about a year before her first team-up with Liber, shortly after Ais Wallenstein reached Level 5. Having entered the Familia at Level 2, she gained much of her experience as a rear-guard mage during expeditions. 19

She is Riveria Ljos Alf's hand-picked disciple and prospective successor. Within the Familia, she is regarded as a promising mage with the potential to become an executive, though Riveria remains concerned by Lefiya's tendency to lose composure under pressure. 16 17

Appearance

Lefiya is a petite young elf with a youthful face, long pointed ears, and tea- or camellia-colored hair tied back in a ponytail. 6 17

Personality

Lefiya is polite, shy, and highly self-critical. She initially speaks to Liber with excessive formality, doubts her value as a teammate despite being the higher-level adventurer, and is uncomfortable among unfamiliar adventurers. 17 18 19

Her anxiety is most dangerous in combat: fear that a monster will reach her or harm an ally can cause her to break off a spell mid-chant. She is ashamed of this weakness, but responds strongly to patient reassurance and trust. 20 23

She is meticulous to an extreme, preparing far more supplies than necessary for a shallow-floor excursion. She also deeply admires Ais Wallenstein and wants to become someone whom others can rely on. 18 21

Arc Ray

[Arc Ray] is Lefiya's short-chant beam spell. Once released, its light projectiles can change direction, pursue targets, and strike multiple enemies in rapid succession. 20 23

• Its automatic targeting makes successful activation effectively a sure hit against fleeing targets. 20
• Lefiya's high Magic stat and unspecified skills amplify its power far beyond a normal single-target spell; Liber considers its output comparable to that of a Level 5 adventurer despite Lefiya being Level 3. 20
• She used Arc Ray to erase a War Shadow horde after calming herself and trusting Liber to hold the enemy line. 23
• The spell consumes substantial mana and mental strength, limiting how frequently she can cast it. 19 24

Elf Ring and Magical Aptitude

Story Role / Major Arcs

Partnership with Liber

Riveria arranges for Lefiya to temporarily team up with Liber so both can develop party skills. Lefiya has never previously formed a normal adventuring party, having trained alone, under Riveria, or as part of larger expeditions. 16 17 19

During their first exploration on the fifth floor, Liber takes the vanguard while Lefiya serves as rear guard. Her over-preparation and lack of confidence initially make their teamwork awkward, but her Arc Ray quickly establishes her destructive potential. 18 19 20

Ant Swarm Frenzy

Lefiya's fear causes her to interrupt Arc Ray when Dungeon Lizards threaten Liber, forcing him to protect both of them. He promises to help her overcome the weakness rather than abandoning the partnership. 20

When a swarm of War Shadows pursues them, Lefiya initially falters again. After Liber entrusts the battle to her and buys time, she regains her composure and annihilates the horde with Arc Ray. 22 23

She continues supporting Liber against the Killer Ant swarm and its winged abnormal specimen, successfully casting Arc Ray at a critical moment to help defeat the pursuer. 26 27

Freya Familia Conflict

Lefiya finds Riveria severely wounded in the street and uses an Elixir to stop the bleeding and stabilize her. She is nearly struck by a thrown battle-axe from the Gulliver Brothers before an incoming weapon deflects it. 38

She remains with Riveria during the subsequent confrontation with the Gulliver Brothers, though the chaotic clash prevents her from finding an opening to use her magic. 44

Continued Growth

Despite periodically believing that Liber would be better off with more experienced teammates, Lefiya accepts his reassurance and recommits herself to their partnership. 65

On the Loki Familia's deep-floor expedition, Riveria observes that Lefiya has become markedly steadier in battle and considers her one of the Familia's pillars. 79
