Groggily, Liber seemed to hear someone calling to him in his sleep. The voice was familiar and sweet, saying something anxiously.
"Mm."
He gave a vague response. When the voice no longer reached his ears, he somehow felt a little lonely.
As he felt his body being gently moved, that cool voice began saying something simple again. He tried hard to make it out, but his drowsiness only grew heavier.
His consciousness gradually sank into a hazy dream.
In the dream, he seemed to see himself walking down the street when he was suddenly hit by a car, his right arm hanging limply against the ground.
When the ambulance arrived, two beautiful nurses lifted him onto a stretcher. It felt like being in a cradle, gently rocking back and forth.
His relaxed limbs were suddenly pinned down by something furry, leaving him unable to turn over. No matter what he did, he could not move.
"What the hell?!"
Liber jolted awake and abruptly sat upright in bed.
Feeling his sweat-soaked clothes and his freely movable limbs, he let out a breath.
He looked around at the familiar surroundings and decorations.
"This is... my room?"
Just as he was about to pull back the blanket, he discovered something pressing down on it. Liber followed the indentations in the bedding with his eyes.
The golden-haired elf was lying beside the bed, her chestnut hair spilling over the edge. Her serene sleeping face and slightly upturned, alluring lips looked so beautiful in the sunlight that she seemed like a painting.
Liber quietly slipped out from beneath the covers, braced himself against the bedside, and slowly got down. He had barely placed one foot on the floor when—
"Mmh..."
He saw her let out a soft murmur as her eyes slowly opened.
