Asuna Yuuki couldn't help but laugh at Li Yu's praise, saying, "It's really nothing, just a little hobby of mine. After all, I'm not used to eating takeout."
Though she spoke with humility, the corners of Asuna Yuuki's mouth curled up slightly; she was clearly enjoying Li Yu's compliments quite a bit.
Today's dinner was on Asuna Yuuki, and after Li Yu finished his meal at her place, he took his leave. He couldn't exactly stay the night, could he?
"I'm heading back to get busy, Asuna Yuuki!" After eating, Li Yu bid her farewell. Asuna Yuuki watched him leave without saying anything further.
Upon returning from Asuna Yuuki's home, Li Yu began organizing his belongings, putting away his clothes and such, before preparing to set up a magic circle in his room.
This time, Li Yu took the opportunity to process the materials that Kato Megumi and the others would need tomorrow, mixing all the Magic Stone fragments together.
He even mixed in the materials he would need for himself. Once he was certain that the quality wouldn't be compromised, Li Yu began laying out the circle in his room.
Li Yu was essentially taking a cut for himself; his Magic Stone fragments were of lower quality compared to those of Yukinoshita and the others, but now he had blended all three types together.
Of course, he only dared to do this because he was certain the quality wouldn't drop. Otherwise, he wouldn't have risked it. What was wrong with improving the quality of his home's magic circle without sacrificing the integrity of the materials?
Since they were all the same, no issues would arise, which was why Li Yu felt confident enough to handle the materials this way.
By the time Li Yu finished setting up the magic circle in his home, the night had quietly deepened. Looking at the finished circle, Li Yu nodded in satisfaction.
Because he had done it once before, he was exceptionally proficient this time, finishing even faster than when he had drawn it for Asuna Yuuki. He was confident that when he drew them for Yukinoshita and the others tomorrow, he would be even faster.
With his room's magic circle complete, Li Yu moved his bed, wardrobe, and other furniture back into place.
Once that was done, he placed the remaining materials into a thermos. If these weren't stored properly, their mana would completely dissipate within two or three days, rendering them useless.
Li Yu put everything away, washed up, and got into bed. After activating the magic circle, he plugged in his phone to charge, placed it on the nightstand, and began listening to the books he had downloaded.
After doing all this, Li Yu quickly entered a meditative state. Aided by the magic circle, his meditation today was significantly better than yesterday's.
Time blinked by until the next day. Li Yu rose from his bed feeling refreshed, the magic circle on the floor now dormant.
Feeling his current state, Li Yu was thrilled. This method of meditating while sleeping was simply incredible!
He had grown stronger after just one night of sleep. After carefully sensing his current mana levels, Li Yu nodded in satisfaction.
He could now be considered a Tier 3 mage, and he had already learned quite a few spells.
Having mastered a variety of basic spells, Li Yu felt his mood soar, a slight smile playing on his lips.
He got up, washed, and grabbed the remaining materials from last night along with his weapon before heading to school. Since moving to his new place, Li Yu's route to school had changed.
He had to head in a different direction, though the distance was about the same. Li Yu stepped out and pressed the elevator button; it arrived shortly after, coming down from the upper floors.
Li Yu was taken aback by the person inside. Aside from a few other residents, Asuna Yuuki was also in the elevator. What a coincidence.
But didn't Asuna Yuuki usually head to school very early? Why was she only coming down now?
He knew that by the time he usually arrived at school, Asuna Yuuki was already sitting in the classroom reading.
"Good morning!" Asuna Yuuki saw Li Yu enter and immediately greeted him with a smile.
"Morning. What a coincidence!" Li Yu greeted her as he stepped into the elevator. Because others were present, Asuna Yuuki didn't say much, merely nodding with a smile.
Once the elevator reached the ground floor, Asuna Yuuki finally spoke, complaining, "The magic circle you set up for me yesterday was too effective. It made me sleep in late today."
Despite her words, her face was filled with satisfaction. She had finally experienced the thrill of "AFK leveling."
Just by sleeping, her mana capacity had increased significantly by the next morning. How could one not be addicted to such a feeling?
"No wonder you were so late today; it's my fault then. I'll treat you to something delicious tonight!" Li Yu laughed, teasing her immediately.
The two left the apartment building and headed to school, chatting and laughing. On the way, Li Yu and Asuna Yuuki bought breakfast, eating as they walked toward the school.
Along the way, Li Yu suddenly noticed with keen perception that the Patrol Squad presence on the streets had diminished, returning to their usual levels. Discovering this, Li Yu couldn't help but speculate in his heart.
Was the incident over? Had the spatial rift that appeared here been dealt with? And what kind of place would that spatial rift have led to? It was impossible not to be curious!
Li Yu and Asuna Yuuki soon arrived at school. When they reached their classroom, many students were already there, chatting in small groups.
The arrival of Li Yu and Asuna Yuuki drew everyone's attention, but no one thought anything strange of it; arriving at the classroom together was quite common at school.
Rather than focusing on such trivial matters, everyone was more concerned with their studies. As soon as Li Yu sat down, a classmate approached him and said, "Li Yu, Li Yu, give us a lecture, will you?"
This was a study god, after all. With some time left before class, why not ask Li Yu about the things they didn't understand? This situation had been happening since yesterday.
Facing the inquiries of his classmates, Li Yu didn't refuse. Instead, he asked, "What don't you understand? Ask away, and I'll explain it to you."
With Li Yu's invitation, many students grinned and began to crowd around him for guidance. Everyone felt truly fortunate to have such a powerhouse in their class.
When the teacher lectured, there were always parts they didn't grasp, but now they had a genius in the class who could easily understand the material and was even willing to share his knowledge.
This was absolutely fantastic. If Li Yu were to run for class monitor or something similar, it was a safe bet that most of the class would support him.
Who could refuse a class monitor who was willing to tutor them? And one who was incredibly powerful at that!
