Looking at the strawberry-flavored Red Potion he had made, Li Yu fell into thought. How did adding those few herbs cause a chemical reaction that turned it strawberry-flavored without changing its medicinal effects?
After trying a little and confirming that the potion still worked as before, Li Yu finally set his mind at ease. That meant there was no problem.
Right away, Li Yu began producing the potions on a larger scale, turning all the remaining ingredients into Red Potions for his own use. As he worked, the scent of strawberries soon filled his room.
Asuna smelled it upstairs too, and was baffled. What was going on? Why did the downstairs smell like strawberries? What was Li Yu up to?
She suddenly remembered Li Yu saying the day before that he wanted to try making potions in unusual flavors. Could it be...? Asuna was stunned. He really had gone and done it? Would they even work?
Though she was puzzled, Asuna didn't go downstairs to bother him. Li Yu might be hard at work on his research. She could ask him about it tomorrow.
What happened next only strengthened her suspicion that Li Yu was messing around. The next smell that drifted upstairs wasn't strawberries, but blueberries!
She wondered if Li Yu had added those two fruits to the potions. Was he trying to make some kind of disastrous concoction? Was he really that into weird experiments?
Asuna, still upstairs, couldn't help grumbling about Li Yu to herself. Then she put it out of her mind and went back to what she was doing. She continued meditating, feeling that her magic was nearly ready to break through to the third tier.
Downstairs, Li Yu gazed at the two potions he had made with satisfaction. "It worked. Strawberry-flavored Red Potions and blueberry-flavored Blue Potions. How amazing. I only added a few herbs that were supposed to be irrelevant, and they turned out like this."
Li Yu's talent was taking effect. He was surpassing the knowledge he had learned, and these potions were the best proof of it.
If he had tried the idea he'd had before going to sleep yesterday, he probably wouldn't have succeeded, since he'd been missing a few ingredients. But after waking up and breaking through to the fourth tier, his talent had grown stronger, and his ideas had changed too.
That was why he'd succeeded on his first try. Thinking of this, Li Yu put all the potions away in his backpack. Once he'd finished, he began training.
He might as well use this chance to improve his strength as much as possible. Once he reached the fourth tier, he would be able to project True Qi, which meant he could finally use the Inside Ghost Sword Technique.

With the breakthrough, the aura around Li Yu grew stronger. He clenched his fist, and white True Qi instantly gathered around it. He had successfully projected his True Qi.
Feeling the force of that domineering True Qi, Li Yu couldn't help lifting the corners of his mouth. An idea came to him, and he immediately picked up his Tang Dao and infused it with True Qi.
As Li Yu did so, he felt the aura emanating from his Tang Dao grow stronger. A sharp edge seemed to rush toward him. Projecting True Qi really was a tremendous boost.
It strengthened him in every way. True Qi gathered around his hand could even be used as a weapon. The fourth tier was on an entirely different level from the third.
After carefully assessing his current condition, Li Yu was extremely satisfied. With this breakthrough, his trip to the Dungeon would be much easier.
He withdrew the True Qi he had released and checked the time. Before he knew it, it was already eight o'clock. He stopped training, washed up, and got ready for bed. He had to go to the Dungeon tomorrow, after all, so he needed to be well-rested and ready for battle.
His study routine remained the same as usual. Li Yu continued learning about pharmacology. Now that he had broken through to the fourth tier, he could make Intermediate Potions.

Li Yu's was an ordinary backpack, while hers was a Spatial Bag that had cost tens of millions. There was no comparison. In her hand, she held the rapier she had just bought.
"Good morning, Li Yu." When she saw him come downstairs, Asuna quickly walked over and greeted him.
"Good morning. Did you bring everything?" Li Yu smiled when he saw Asuna and returned her greeting.
Asuna nodded, then teased him with a smile. "I almost packed everything in my house, including some kitchen utensils!"
With a Space Backpack, Asuna naturally didn't have to pack as lightly as Li Yu. She'd brought all the kitchen utensils from her kitchen, along with some ingredients.
She had bought the ingredients the day before. She had made thorough preparations for this Dungeon adventure. She didn't know how long they'd be down there, but bringing a little extra couldn't hurt.
