Western Regions, Vajra Temple.
As one of Buddhism's four most renowned temples in the present age, Vajra Temple, like Shaolin Temple, possessed a move of Buddha's Palm—the fifth form, Vajra Illumination.
Shaolin Temple's true meaning of "Smile of the Flower" was best at enlightening wisdom. Coupled with Buddhism's skill at converting all manner of martial world figures, generations of masters had accumulated their efforts to create the Seventy-Two Ultimate Arts.
There were as many as eighteen cultivation arts that led directly to the Dharma Body, while most of the remaining ultimate arts were martial techniques at the peak of the External Scene.

Vajra Temple's founding patriarch, Blood Saber Dhuta, had originally come from an unorthodox Buddhist background. By chance, he obtained the fifth form of Buddha's Palm, and with his exceptional talent, created two foundational martial arts that pointed directly to the Dharma Body, as well as three saber arts at the absolute peak of the External Scene. He was not much inferior to Bodhidharma.
Yet his descendants had failed to live up to expectations and found it difficult to compare with Shaolin Temple's generations of eminent monks. This generation in particular had produced no Dharma Body expert, leaving only the old Fangzhang at the Half-Step Dharma Body realm.

Vajra Temple's Fangzhang of this generation sat withered upon a lotus dais. His face was thin and decayed, while the hands exposed beneath his broad monastic robes were covered in black spots. His final day was not far away.
