Background / History

Zhu Zhuqing is a direct daughter of the Zhu Clan, whose daughters are traditionally betrothed to Star Luo imperial princes. Under this system, competing engaged pairs must suppress or eliminate their rivals to become the Crown Prince and Crown Princess Consort, turning the Zhu sisters into expected enemies. Zhuqing rejects having her life dictated by this arrangement and particularly resents her unknown fiancé. 43 347

After Lu Yu defeats Dai Weisi, Zhuqing approaches him on behalf of her clan, offering a soul bone and a marriage alliance if he joins the Star Luo Empire. Lu Yu declines because of his age, and Zhuqing leaves without pressing the matter. 43

Zhu Zhuyun later asks Lu Yu to take Zhuqing away from the Star Luo Empire. Zhuqing attempts to escape using a concealed route, but three Soul Kings pursue her; injured and exhausted, she is ultimately rescued by Lu Yu.
