• Old Jack brought Lu Yu and Tang San to the Awakening Ceremony, where Su Yuntao discovered both had Innate Full Soul Power despite their unimpressive martial souls.
• Lu Yu recognized his martial soul as the Heaven-Defying Seal and began cultivating and mastering talismans before entering the Soul Hunting Forest alone.
• Lu Yu killed a Golden Mane Lion-Mastiff, absorbed its thousand-year soul ring, gained the Diamond Seal skill, and fused its right palm bone.

• Lu Yu defeated Tang San in a spar, then entered the academy competition and advanced through the rounds with single blows while drawing attention from Dugu Bo and the academy leaders.
• Lu Yu defeated Yu Tianheng, watched Dugu Yan concede their match, and reached the final, where he revealed his Heaven-Defying Seal and defeated Zhang Fang to win the championship.
