"We've arrived, Miss Sylutia."
The carriage rolled slowly into the vast valley and finally stopped in front of a small stone house.
The house's first floor was roughly rectangular and built of white stone. Its empty interior could be used to store carriage equipment or harvested crops. A flight of steps along the side led to the second floor, where Sylutia would live. It had a bedroom with a good view, a study, and a small private meditation room.
"The kitchen is off to one side of the first floor, and there's a cellar beside it where you can store things." The Knight Attendant in charge led her around to inspect each area.
The Castle Path contained professional plans for building walls, castles, towers, and homes. Such buildings were often part of grand castle formations and served as symbols of civilization's boundaries.
Though small, the house had everything she needed. It was just right for Sylutia to live in alone. It also stood on a relatively high slope within the valley, so there was no need to worry about flooding.
The steep cliffs surrounding the valley lay about four hundred meters north of the house. They were covered in wind-eroded rocks, and no birds flew overhead.
The valley was shaped like a faint letter C. To the east, it had a two-hundred-meter-wide entrance, while beyond that lay a broad plain. A rough estimate put its size at around 1,200 mu, or about 120 soccer fields.
Much of the valley's inner reaches were still covered in pristine woodland, rocks, and weeds. Only the area near the entrance had been cleared so far.
Sylutia had been somewhat prepared for this, but after arriving, she realized she had still underestimated how difficult it would be to cultivate the land. Never mind planting crops—just
