In a hidden tunnel beneath Blanur, the City of Star-Gazing.

A hunched figure hurried forward. He was small and thin, and seemed to have practiced a special Blood Law secret art that let him briefly twist his body through exceptionally narrow gaps.

A team was tracking him from behind. One member wore specially made Appraisal glasses that let him see easily in the dark and distinguish even the faintest traces.

"He went this way. He was careful, but he still left tracks," Vincent of the Appraisal School said.

"This guy's fast for a Wizard," a teammate grumbled as they moved.

"He may have studied other secret arts too. They're so good at raising strange beasts and monsters that it wouldn't be surprising if they'd learned a few Blood Law arts."

"Lady Tia said this man was important. He might be a lead researcher at this hidden base. If we catch him, we could unravel a lot of its secrets."

"Sounds like we've got a serious job on our hands."

"No, we're still too slow. It'd be embarrassing if we lost him." Another team member stopped.

"Give me a moment. I'll summon some help." He took out an expensive Astral Realm gemstone and inscribed the array needed for a summoning ritual in the air.

Minutes later, the gemstone flickered and vanished within the Ritual Array. A strange creature appeared underground.
