Sylutia and Lucas found the badly damaged Dragon Bone in a buried cavern, where Tomb Wraiths attacked them. They defeated the creatures and searched the cavern as soldiers began surrounding the mine entrance.

  • Lucas used rituals to locate the Dragon Bone behind a stone wall, and Sylutia broke through it with Thick Wood Vines.
  • Sylutia and Lucas entered a cavern and found charred Dragon Bone remains embedded in the wall.
  • Tomb Wraiths emerged from the bones and attacked, while Sylutia restrained them with vines and Lucas fought with his skeletal creatures.
  • Sylutia destroyed the Tomb Wraiths with vines and Spiral Spears, including one empowered by Emerald Nectar Aspect Power.
  • Sylutia and Lucas began searching the cavern as soldiers arrived at the mine entrance and started surrounding it.

Ch. 254The Dangerous Autumn Courtyard

Sylutia and Lucas searched a cavern for dragon bones and faced an Anti force waiting outside the mine. As Lucas fought Aru, Sylutia trapped and defeated the two knights pursuing her with her autumn courtyard ability.

  • Sylutia found a Star-Track Inscription and used a Corpse-Seeking Vine to sense another dragon bone buried hundreds of meters underground.
  • Lucas and Sylutia prepared for the approaching Anti soldiers, then emerged from the mine and fought through their crossbow volley.
  • Somelin ordered Aru to attack Lucas and sent two knights after Sylutia; Aru smashed through Bone Monsters and sealed the mine passage with his axe.
  • Sylutia evaded the two knights, adapting her fighting style while inflicting only minor wounds on them.
  • Sylutia summoned an autumn forest that trapped the knights with grasping weeds, then pierced and pinned them with emerald spear blades.

Ch. 255The Beginning and End of Things

Lucas summoned a Dragon Tooth Soldier to hold off Aru while Sylutia defeated Somelin’s knights and took the new lord of Scorched Stone City hostage. After questioning Somelin about his rule and the mine’s Hellfire Gems, Sylutia killed him for the innocent people who had died, then Lucas asked her what to do with the remaining soldiers.

  • Lucas used Dragon Bone fragments to summon a third-rank Dragon Tooth Soldier, which held Aru off and gave him room to plan.
  • Sylutia trapped the soldiers in her Autumn Garden, killed the two knights she had sent to help Aru, and took Somelin hostage.
  • Somelin ordered his soldiers and Aru to stand down, and Lucas joined Sylutia to keep him surrounded.
  • Somelin explained how he had bought Scorched Stone City, described his harsh rule, and revealed that the mine produced Hellfire Gems.
  • Sylutia asked about the previous lord, Viscount Xuefeng, then killed Somelin with poisoned vines despite his offers of money and a share of the mine’s profits.
  • Lucas reconsidered his view of Sylutia and asked what they should do with Somelin’s remaining soldiers.

Ch. 256The Witch's Presence Begins to Emerge

Sylutia negotiated with Aru to make him the ruler of Scorched Stone City in exchange for Blood Currants and a promise to protect its residents. After reaching their agreement, she and Lucas watched Aru take control of the Anti soldiers and conceal Somelin’s death.

  • Sylutia bound the Anti soldiers with grass and brought Aru before her to discuss Scorched Stone City’s future.
  • Aru accused Sylutia of hypocrisy, and she admitted her concerns while explaining that she did not want to rule the city herself.
  • Sylutia offered Aru Blood Currants, and she and Lucas negotiated an agreement requiring him to keep the city peaceful and its laws fair.
  • Aru agreed to the terms, and Sylutia promised to recommend people who could help him govern.
  • Aru rallied the Anti soldiers, claimed Somelin had died of illness, and persuaded them to keep ruling Scorched Stone City while hiding the truth.

Ch. 257Sunflower's Letter

Sylutia restored order in Scorched Stone City with Aru, then returned to Lady Falan’s abandoned residence and read her farewell letter. Inspired by Falan’s advice and the sunflowers she had planted, Sylutia began tending the garden herself.

  • Sylutia and Lucas helped Aru bring the soldiers of Scorched Stone City under control and reduce bullying while new administrators gradually replaced the Anti people.
  • Aru used some of Sylutia’s Blood Currants to win over the garrison’s First- and Second-Order officers and stabilize the city.
  • Sylutia unlocked Lady Falan’s residence and opened its doors and windows after finding it neglected and unoccupied.
  • Sylutia read Lady Falan’s letter, in which Falan explained her return to her homeland and urged Sylutia to travel and face her past when she was ready.
  • Sylutia remembered her time with Lady Falan, Talia, and Lining, then began caring for the new sunflowers in the back garden.

Ch. 258The Flowers Drift Apart

  • Sylutia gave Yero a First Order White Stone Chess Piece and Sun Seed Oil, and he accepted them gratefully.

Ch. 259Night in Valley City

Sylutia traveled from Scorched Stone City to Valley City with an Oak Barrel Chamber of Commerce caravan and settled into an inn after the city’s lockdown ended. A watcher reported her arrival to Baron Kachis, who planned to invite her to a castle banquet.

  • Sylutia agreed to travel to Valley City with the Oak Barrel Chamber of Commerce caravan, accompanied by Anti soldiers selected by Aru.
  • Sylutia spent a night camping with the caravan and observed the Anti and Regas travelers relaxing together.
  • Two days later, the caravan entered Valley City without trouble after its Anti soldiers paid off the guards.
  • Sylutia arrived at an inn and went to her room while a hidden watcher observed her and hurried to report to Baron Kachis.
  • Kachis ordered a castle banquet for the next day and told his subordinate to invite Sylutia, saying he wanted to see her for himself.

Ch. 260The Invitation to the Banquet

Sylutia reunited with Karen in Valley City, learned about the recent battle, and helped her consider which Archer Aspect to pursue. That evening, Sylutia set out for a banquet after receiving an unexpected invitation from General Kachis, unsure why he wanted to meet her.

  • Sylutia visited Karen, who described Prince Jabs's takeover of Valley City, Anti's assault, and General Nokton's ambush and injury.
  • Sylutia revealed that she had reached the third tier of Emerald Nectar and recounted her experiences in the Woodland.
  • Karen showed Sylutia her Archer Class and asked whether she should choose the Castle Aspect or the Blood Law Aspect; Sylutia explained the tradeoffs, and Karen decided to think it over.
  • After returning to the inn, Sylutia received an invitation from General Kachis to attend a banquet that night, along with a warning not to break her promise.
  • Sylutia changed into a luxurious dark green dress and rode with merchant caravan escorts toward the Castle in southern Valley City.

Ch. 261The Clash at the Banquet

Sylutia attended Kachis’s banquet in Valley City, where he pressured the city’s prominent residents to join an impending campaign against Regas rebels. After she rejected his offer to recruit her and his request for a flower for Princess Moanda, Kachis urged her to remain in the city, and she agreed for now to protect her companions.

  • Sylutia arrived at Kachis’s banquet, declined Glanfins’s offer to dance, and sat quietly while he turned away other guests.
  • Kachis entered the banquet and pressured Valley City’s residents to swear loyalty to King Atir and join his army’s march against the Regas rebels in Trident Forest.
  • Kachis met Sylutia and learned that she practiced the Emerald Nectar, Gardener Class; he offered to recommend her to the Anti Royal Capital, but she refused.
  • Kachis asked Sylutia to grow a flower for Princess Moanda’s birthday, but she refused to avoid being drawn into Anti politics.
  • Kachis suggested Sylutia stay in Valley City, and she accepted for the time being to protect her caravan companions and Karen.

Ch. 262When the Stars Returned to Their Places

Sylutia remained in Valley City while Kachis sent an army to search Trident Forest for Prince Jabs and his forces. As the Hundred-Eye Cult began a deadly ritual to summon help from the Astral Realm, its leader received a response from a vague will.

  • Sylutia stayed at the inn as Kachis deployed 6,000 troops to search Trident Forest for Prince Jabs.
  • Anti soldiers and hunting dogs swept through the forest, while Prince Jabs's scouts warned him that the enemy was closing in.
  • A Hundred-Eye Cult leader promised Jabs that a ritual would turn the tide, and Jabs ordered a feast while Princess Musa worried about their situation.
  • After the Anti troops stopped for the night, the Cultists began a ritual, using a bound man and royal ritual vessels as they chanted.
  • The ritual sent a red pillar of light through a breach in the World Barrier and toward the Astral Realm, draining and killing members of the Cult.
  • The Cult Leader opened several pairs of eyes and heard a vague will speaking from the Astral Realm.

Ch. 263The Evil Eye Descends

The Hundred-Eye Cult sacrificed Valley City's former lord and other followers to summon and raise four Third Order Purple-Pupil Evil Eyes. As the cultists gained illusion-casting powers from the Evil Eyes, Anti's army launched a night assault on the camp.

  • The cult leader summoned five red worms from beyond the Astral Realm and ordered his followers to begin the sacrifice.
  • A cultist stabbed Valley City's former lord, and the ritual consumed his life, Castle Aspect Power, and fate along with the offerings of willing followers.
  • The worms grew into fleshy balls as the special followers shaped their abilities and forged connections with them; one follower lost control and was killed, and his creation was devoured by the others.
  • The remaining four creations stabilized and became Third Order Purple-Pupil Evil Eyes, which gave cultists powers of hypnosis and illusion.
  • Kachis led Anti's forces into the depths of Trident Forest, beginning a night attack on the cult's camp.

Ch. 264The Night-Splitting Battle

Anti’s army fought Prince Jabs’s forces in Trident Forest, where the nobles of Valley City were forced to turn against their former allies. As the Hundred-Eye Cult intervened, Anti’s cavalry charged into the battle.

  • Anti’s soldiers fought Prince Jabs’s loyal guards in Trident Forest while a Knight used his Castle Aspect Power to protect them from arrows.
  • An officer forced the hesitant nobles of Valley City to fight by threatening them, then ordering crossbowmen to shoot those who refused.
  • Kachis held back his Knights and ordered the Anti vanguard to make the nobles capture Prince Jabs.
  • Princess Musa rushed to Jabs’s side and shielded him as the nobles closed in.
  • The Hundred-Eye Cult emerged after its ritual and attacked the advancing rebels with purplish-red light, driving surviving nobles to flee.
  • The Anti officer sounded a special horn, and silver-armored cavalry charged into the front line in a blessed formation.

Ch. 265A Bewitching Dream

After two months of stalemate, Kachis prepared to hunt Prince Jabs while the Hundred-Eye Cult expanded its influence across Regas. Sylutia decided to escape Valley City and used her Illusion Mushroom to put the city’s guards to sleep as she and her caravan headed for the gate, intending to rescue a prisoner named Haines.

  • The Hundred-Eye Cult helped Prince Jabs gather followers across Regas, while Kachis restored his authority and tracked Jabs’s movements.
  • Sylutia failed to persuade Valley City’s acting city lord to let her leave, so she decided to depart without permission.
  • A caravan member asked Sylutia to rescue his uncle Haines, a wounded prisoner who had fought for Prince Jabs.
  • Sylutia agreed to help and used her Illusion Mushroom to lull the city’s residents and soldiers to sleep.
  • Sylutia and her masked caravan members made their way toward the city gate, where the drowsy patrol captain collapsed.

Ch. 266Strange Prisoners and a Bleak Age

Sylutia infiltrated the Anti garrison dungeon in Valley City and rescued Haines, Reiz, and the prisoner who had revealed Haines’s location. She led them to safety and asked Haines and Reiz to train and lead Regas refugees, and they agreed.

  • Sylutia used spores to put the dungeon guards and prisoners to sleep while searching for Haines.
  • A prisoner used his memories to tell Sylutia where Haines was being held, so she freed him as well as Haines and Reiz.
  • Sylutia gave the weakened men food and water, then led all three out of Valley City before dawn.
  • Sylutia met Karen outside the city and explained that she needed Haines and Reiz to train and lead Regas refugees.
  • Haines and Reiz accepted Sylutia’s request and agreed to join the refugees.

Ch. 267An Accident That Was No Accident

Sylutia returned to the secluded settlement with Karen and discovered that cultists had attacked and abducted its residents. She and Karen followed the trail, while Sylutia wondered whether the attackers’ arrival was truly a coincidence.

  • Karen offered to help Sylutia, and Sylutia asked her to teach the refugees archery as the caravan traveled toward Scorched Stone City.
  • Sylutia gave the caravan leader White Camellia tea and a letter offering refuge, then left for the secluded settlement with Karen, Haines, his nephew, and Morris.
  • Morris told Sylutia about his secret-arts studies, a ritual that gave him a Minotaur strength talent, and the ten years he had spent imprisoned; he agreed to teach her his Meditation Technique.
  • Sylutia and Karen reached the settlement and found it bloodied and deserted, with one wounded survivor who said red-robed cultists had taken the residents.
  • Sylutia left Haines and the others to care for the survivor, then used her senses to track the cultists with Karen and considered how choosing the settlement had brought them into conflict.

Ch. 268The Legend of the Descender

The Hundred-Eye Cult prepared a ritual to summon the true Alien Star, and its leader persuaded Prince Jabs to take part. Sylutia intercepted the cult’s captive procession and, after revealing her overwhelming power, caused a Demon Pact-Maker to recognize her as the Great Descender and submit.

  • The cult leader learned that captured miners had revealed a hidden settlement near Scorched Stone City and planned to use it as another base.
  • The cult leader told Prince Jabs the ritual would take place the following night and persuaded him to participate, promising power and victory.
  • The cult leader revealed his plan to summon the true Alien Star before the Lion Palace sealed the rift.
  • Sylutia caught up with a procession carrying about eight hundred captives, blocked its path, and trapped the group inside walls of thorn-covered vines.
  • A Demon Pact-Maker sent a purple ray at Sylutia, but her barrier deflected it, and he knelt after meeting her gaze, calling her the Great Descender.

Ch. 269The Unknown Distance

Sylutia learned about the Hundred-Eye Cult, freed its captives, and helped the survivors find their way forward. After deciding she could not abandon or simply kill the Cultists, she agreed to accompany them to their Valley Headquarters and see the ritual being prepared.

  • The Demon Pact-Maker explained the Hundred-Eye Cult's origins, beliefs, organization, and ties to Prince Jabs, who was staying with the Cult Leader at the valley base.
  • At Sylutia's request, the Demon Pact-Maker ordered the Cultists to release their captives, and Karen gathered the rescued miners and refugees to lead them toward Scorched Stone City.
  • Sylutia sent nearby villagers home and directed a wounded Anti officer to lead the scattered Anti soldiers back to their garrisons.
  • Sylutia urged an orphaned boy to protect and care for his younger sister, then watched them leave with Karen.
  • After reflecting on the suffering of ordinary people caught between powerful factions, Sylutia weighed what to do with the Cultists and agreed to accompany them to the Valley Headquarters.
  • A gravely ill, homeless man asked to go with the Cultists, and Sylutia brought him along as she set out to see the ritual.

Ch. 270Army Mobilization

Kachis mobilized the Anti armies in Regas to surround the Hundred-Eye Cult’s hidden valley, while the cult leader refused to halt the ritual and ordered rebellions in Prince Jabs’s name. As the Anti force advanced, its soldiers seized food from villages across southern Regas to sustain the campaign.

  • A spy told Kachis that the Hundred-Eye Cult was preparing a ritual in a hidden valley, and Kachis ordered the Mist Blade Squad to watch from outside it while Golden-Eye Eagles continued surveillance.
  • Kachis assembled the Anti armies at Split-Axe City and sent the main force toward the valley, encircling it while smaller units searched southern Regas.
  • The Hundred-Eye Cult leader refused to suspend the ritual and ordered the cult’s branches to seize towns and raise Prince Jabs’s name, using letters of investiture and symbols of authority.
  • A large Anti army camped near the valley, and its quartermasters began requisitioning food from villages throughout southern Regas.
  • An Anti superior rejected pleas for mercy and ordered soldiers to keep taking supplies, insisting that the conquered people would submit to the stronger power.

Ch. 271The Soiled Swallowtail Flag

Sylutia arrived in Tuomu Town after Regas rebels and Anti soldiers had slaughtered one another, then learned the rebellion had been meant to buy time for the Hundred-Eye Cult. She gave a dying fighter the praise he sought and lifted the bloodied Regas flag from the mud.

  • Regas townspeople joined Prince Jabs's uprising and fought the Anti garrison, with Blood Law warriors and the Hundred-Eye Cult helping them before Anti captains used Castle wards to counter the cultists.
  • Sylutia and her group reached Tuomu Town and found the Regas fighters dead, Anti survivors hunting adult Regas men, and the streets full of corpses.
  • Sylutia ordered the surviving Anti soldiers subdued, arranged care for the townspeople, and left people behind to take charge of the town.
  • A cultist explained that Prince Jabs's scepter, appointment document, and town seal were meant to rally the people, but Sylutia recognized that the uprising had only bought time for the Cult Leader.
  • A wounded Regas man presented Sylutia with Tuomu's bloodstained flag and pleaded for recognition, and she praised the townspeople before he fell dead.
  • Long afterward, Sylutia lifted the filthy swallowtail flag from the mud and brushed it clean.

Ch. 272Feast Ritual: Purgatory Black Hound

The Anti army attacked the Hundred-Eye Cult’s valley, where the cult completed a ritual that broke the army’s protective formation. Kachis answered by performing the Feast Ritual: Purgatory Black Hound, unleashing hounds that multiplied across the battlefield and charged into the valley.

  • Kachis ordered his army to ignore revolts in other towns and keep advancing on the Hundred-Eye Cult’s valley.
  • The Anti army pushed through the cult’s defenses, while Kachis refused to send reinforcements to Split-Axe City.
  • As the cult’s ritual began, Kachis lit the valley with torches and flaming arrows, prompting Prince Jabs to prepare an escape with Princess Musa.
  • The Hundred-Eye Cult activated its magic circle, dissolving the army’s protective curtains and killing officers with Beholder rays.
  • Kachis summoned Purgatory Black Hounds with his blood and battlefield corpses, and the hounds multiplied as they devoured the dead and attacked both armies.

Ch. 273The Racing Figure

Sylutia led a growing coalition to capture Split-Axe City and restore order across southern Regas, recruiting surrendered Anti soldiers and punishing those responsible for atrocities. After the region’s towns fell, she sensed the Alien Star’s Beacon rising near the Hundred-Eye Cult’s headquarters and led her column toward the final battlefield.

  • Sylutia charged into Split-Axe City on her Hyacinth Horse, defeated its armored knight with a golden knife, and helped her cavalry capture the city.
  • Sylutia offered the surrendered Anti soldiers a choice between following her and facing judgment, then had the worst offenders handed over to the residents for punishment.
  • The remaining Anti soldiers pledged to follow Sylutia, and she rearmed them before leading the expanded force toward the next city.
  • Sylutia’s column captured towns across southern Regas, growing more coordinated until the last town was restored to order.
  • Sylutia sensed the Alien Star’s Beacon rising near the Hundred-Eye Cult’s headquarters and led her followers toward it.

Ch. 274A Night of Despair

Kachis used a Twin Snake Cult relic to fuse three Purgatory Black Dogs and attack the Hundred-Eye Cult’s ritual, while Prince Jabs became a monstrous vessel after pledging the Regas Kingdom as the ritual’s price. The ritual and battle continued as a mysterious group of riders arrived and saved Princess Musa from a thrown dagger.

  • Kachis sacrificed blood to the Twin Snake Cult dagger and fused three Purgatory Black Dogs into a Three-Headed Purgatory Hound, which charged the rising array.
  • Cultists forced Jabs to recite a prayer offering the Regas Kingdom as the ritual’s price, and the seventeen-tier array began to open.
  • Jabs transformed into a towering Alien Star life-form and fought the Three-Headed Purgatory Hound with rays from the eyes covering his body.
  • A Mist Blade Squad member threatened Jabs with Princess Musa, but Jabs attacked the squad and killed several members as they fled.
  • A Mist Blade Squad member hurled a dagger at Princess Musa, but a deep-purple ray struck it, and an unfamiliar group of riders appeared on a nearby hill.

Ch. 275Cornflower's White Knight (Thanks to Shenqi-sama Wants to Snuggle with Alice for the Alliance Leader)

Sylutia rode alone into the burning battlefield as a White Knight and rescued Princess Musa from the Three-Headed Purgatory Hound. She brought Musa through the ritual barrier, where Jabs attacked them, and the battle continued beneath the rising array.

  • Sylutia ordered her companions to stay back, used the Knight Badge to become a Third Order White Knight, and charged toward the battlefield.
  • Sylutia rode through Dead Ember flames, threw her lance beside Princess Musa to clear the surrounding fire, and pulled Musa onto her horse.
  • Sylutia evaded the Three-Headed Purgatory Hound and passed through an entrance that opened in the ritual barrier, bringing Musa inside.
  • Jabs attacked Sylutia and Musa with violet-red rays, but Sylutia's Pure White Shield deflected the blast before she dragged Musa aside.
  • The ritual array continued to rise as Sylutia kept moving through the battlefield and the fight continued.

Ch. 276The Past

Sylutia defeated the Alien Star-corrupted Jabs, who regained his senses long enough to confess his past wrongdoing to Princess Musa before dying. With the Ritual Array nearing completion and the barrier weakening, Sylutia protected Musa with her badge and entered the depths of the array, hoping to learn about her origins and the Alien Star.

  • Sylutia used the greatsword to evade Jabs's attacks, sever his arm, and pierce his chest with the Sword of Amos, draining away his Alien Star power.
  • Jabs regained some clarity and confessed that he had framed Iona for breaking the Blood Crystal Flower, a lie that drove her from the palace and estranged Viscount Callen from Grand Duke of Regas.
  • Princess Musa forgave Jabs, and he died in her arms as Sylutia listened to his final words.
  • The Ritual Array's barrier grew thin under the Three-Headed Purgatory Hound's assault, but a ring of light from the Beacon blasted the beast apart.
  • Sylutia gave Princess Musa her badge for protection against the array's erosion, then vanished into the array's depths.

Ch. 277The Contest Between Alien Stars

Sylutia fought the Hundred-Eye Cult inside the Ritual Array, using Alien Star powers to defeat Beholders and challenge the Cult Leader. As he trapped her with Stagnant Space and searched for her, Sylutia disappeared toward the array’s true core, where a fissure between worlds was widening.

  • Sylutia entered the center of the Ritual Array and defeated the Beholders, sealing five of them into Summoning Cards.
  • The Cult Leader blocked Sylutia’s attacks with a barrier and unleashed Descent of Hundred Eyes, but she escaped unharmed.
  • The Cult Leader used Stagnant Space to slow Sylutia and prevent her Space Teleportation.
  • Sylutia summoned an Autumn Garden and used vines to obscure the Cult Leader’s sight, but he shattered the vines with a descending ring.
  • The Cult Leader realized Sylutia had vanished and looked toward the array’s core, where a fissure between worlds was widening.
