Arc 27The Plague and the Blood Curse
Sylutia returned to the Mage Alliance, helped research and develop a treatment for the Flesh Plague, then negotiated with Queen Katera for Blood Clan crystals by accepting a dangerous condition tied to the royal curse. The outbreak was brought under control, while trade between the Mage Alliance and the Blood Clan expanded.
- Sylutia reunited with old friends at the Harvest Celebration, raised her Bright Flame Cornflower to Fifth Order, and visited Queen Musa in Regas, where she promised to help Musa leave the throne when she was ready.
- As the Flesh Plague spread through the northern Mage Alliance, Oren, Luke, and Anali attacked a hidden base, where Luke died and Oren and Anali barely survived their battle with Slandor and mutated monsters.
- Sylutia returned to the Mage Alliance, reunited with Amelia, and joined researchers investigating the plague, while Abelid warned her not to share the Silver Radiance Church’s analysis techniques.
- Sylutia developed a Blood Copper Potion that reduced infection in Woze District, and after trials and improvements the Alliance Council funded production that helped bring the outbreak under control.
- Sylutia traveled with Camilla to the Sea Cliff Blood Clan, where Hialani asked Queen Katera for blood crystals to support the plague medicine and learned about the curse afflicting the royal family.
- Katera demanded that Sylutia research the Bloodline Curse and accept the blessing of true crimson blood, including its side effects if she failed, and Sylutia accepted so the two sides could reach an agreement.
- Katera arranged for the Blood Clan to exchange blood crystals for goods and punish criminals operating in Mage Alliance territory, while Hialani left Sylutia a tower and protective items before departing.
- The Flesh Plague infected about 160 million people and killed around 50 million before the Mage Alliance and its allies contained it, and a trade convoy later reached Mandala Harbor as Blood Clan nobles profited from reselling imported goods.
