Yue Xiaochan was raised as the Star Moon Sect's future leader. As the only direct-line seedling of the next generation, she bore the expectation of succeeding Sect Master Xue Qingqiu from a young age. Before entering the martial world, she had no public battle record despite her exceptional cultivation. 4 14

She accompanied Xue Qingqiu to the Capital City during the effort to recover Yin Ye from the Six Fan Gates. Besides the rescue, Xue Qingqiu intended the journey to train Xiaochan in business management and dealings with the Imperial Court. 14

On the journey, Xiaochan met the injured Xue Mu and questioned his suspicious background with a mixture of curiosity and skepticism. She helped establish him as the sect's accountant at Hundred Flowers Garden and quickly came to rely on his ideas. 3 6 14

When Hundred Flowers Garden faced declining business, Xiaochan eagerly adopted Xue Mu's proposal to have its courtesans wear imitations of Righteous Path sect uniforms. She expanded the scheme across nearly every recognizable righteous sect, turning it into a major commercial success while provoking widespread hostility. 11 12

Xiaochan formally debuted in the martial world when Righteous Path disciples surrounded Hundred Flowers Garden. She killed Daoist Dongfeng of the Mysterious Heaven Sect, then defeated the remaining attackers alone while treating the confrontation as an opportunity to acquire more uniforms. 14 15

After breaking through to the Hua Yun Realm, Xiaochan prepared to leave the Capital City and establish her own reputation. Her southern mission was to collect debts and secure the Star-Forget Stone and Chess-Cloth Star-Net Array for the sect's future plans. 21 28
