"Mom, look!"
"He's the gentleman who hanged himself from the tree!"
Wu Heng had just stopped his car with a group of possessed prisoners, preparing to transfer to another vehicle to go to the airport and leave Denver, when a clear child's voice rang out.
He turned his head to look.
On the road was a brown-haired woman holding the hand of a little boy.
Wu Heng recognized the little boy.
It was the little boy who saw him from under the tree and gave him directions when he was parachuting in the snow and got impaled by a tree branch.
Seeing this group of fierce-looking men turn and stare at her, the woman hurriedly covered the little boy's mouth and quickly bowed her head to apologize.
"I'm so sorry, sir, Lani is too young and likes to talk nonsense."
"Ugh! I'm not lying. Look, this gentleman in the tree is with some hotel guests." The little boy mumbled as his mouth was covered.
Upon hearing this, Wu Heng gave the little boy a deep look.
The little boy knew that the evil spirits around him were hotel guests, and possibly also people with the ability to see through the the Shining.
"It's okay, kids always like to fantasize."
Wu Heng replied gently, as if he didn't take the matter to heart.
He glanced at the little boy again, etching his image into his mind; he was still curious about the the Shining's abilities.
"I really didn't... uh... uh~!" The little boy's mouth was covered by his mother again, and he was dragged away in the opposite direction.
It seems there are quite a few people with the the Shining ability in Denver. Wu Heng kept this in mind.
He turned around again and headed towards the airport.
The next day,
Wu Heng led the group of ghosts back to Lincoln City and obtained Mike Hanlon Hanlon's phone number from Ben.
"Father, the competition has reached the fourth round, and there are still more than 900 people left."
Having just returned to Lincoln City, he was preparing to lead 26 possessed prisoners to Wu Heng in Derry.
I received Bob's report as soon as I landed.
Bob's confident tone revealed his strong confidence in the current progress of the work.
Wu Heng went to the TV station and observed it briefly.
He expressed his approval of Bob's work and gave him some more talismanic water and valuables, not wanting external factors to affect his plans.
Wu Heng left one ordinary evil spirit to guard Bob again, while recalling the Hidden Ghost. This thing could drive, which was pretty good.
Then he dialed Mike Hanlon Hanlon's number.
Mike Hanlon, one of the main characters, has lived in Derry since childhood. In the story, he is the black man who makes phone calls one by one to gather the rest of the Losers' Club members back to Derry to fight Pennywise the Pennywise.
Because he never left the town, his memory was not affected at all, and he remembered the Pennywise's story from beginning to end, having a deep understanding of him.
"Hello, sir, how can I help you?"
" Mike Hanlon, I should have told you by now, I'm Victor Lister, and I'll be arriving in Derry tomorrow. I hope to meet with you then and discuss some things."
"Oh, you're the priest I was talking about? No problem, I'll come pick you up."
The voice on the other end of the phone carried a hint of excitement. Mike Hanlon was very curious about Wu Heng Wu Heng's identity and the abilities described in Ben.
He has been studying the Pennywise for 27 years, during which time he has consulted a lot of materials, but he has not found anything related to the mystery. Sometimes he finds a clue, but then he gives up halfway.
Except for the Pennywise.
It seems that only it has consistently demonstrated extraordinary power.
If Wu Heng's abilities are truly as Ben Hans said, then it would be incredibly exciting news for him, proving that humanity truly possesses the power to combat the mysterious.
Wu Heng hung up the phone. The flight itinerary was already set, and he would depart in an hour.
He used the remaining time to observe and screen the participants, and one person's photo caught his attention.
The middle-aged man in the photo was the same one he had seen on the highway who was transporting cattle in a car. He had also participated in the competition and ranked among the top performers out of 900 participants in the fourth round.
This proves that his judgment of people was correct; this middle-aged man does indeed have a strong inner strength.
Wu Heng glanced at his watch; it was almost time.
He got up and, with 26 evil spirits who were on guard duty, boarded a plane bound for Derry.
This was the first time I'd met the Pennywise in person; it was a real, undeniable contest.
Wu Heng gazed at the fluffy white clouds outside the cabin window, his thoughts wandering.
Three hours later, the plane landed.
Surrounded by a group of strange people, Wu Heng calmly stepped off the plane.
Behind him, in a corner of the cabin, an elderly man in casual clothes was constantly wiping the sweat from his forehead.
"What bad luck!"
"They're finally gone, that was terrifying."
The old man felt a chill run down his spine. He was a medium himself, but he didn't have any real abilities. He was just born with the ability to sense evil things and communicate with them.
Just as he was sitting on the plane, a group of people suddenly barged It Comes. Each of them was covered in a strong, eerie aura, and each of them had a different kind of eerie aura, which meant that each of them was tainted by an evil spirit.
Moreover, judging from their inherent malevolent aura, it's not like they've merely been tainted; they've likely been possessed.
Especially the leader, the one dressed as a priest, was completely unfathomable.
Along the way, he felt like a cat trembling in a corner surrounded by a pack of wild dogs, helpless and afraid.
Just as the old man breathed a sigh of relief,
A burly man with a full-body python tattoo covering his face and neck returned from outside the cabin, stood silently in front of him, and extended his right hand in an inviting gesture.
The old man's wrinkled face froze for a moment, then he sighed and stood up.
The tattooed man stepped forward to help him, but the old man quickly waved his hand in refusal. The moment the cold hand touched the old man, he knew that the burly man in front of him was not human, and he dared not let such evil touch him.
The old man followed cautiously off the plane and came to Wu Heng, who was waiting for him.
"I wonder what business the cult leader has with me?" the old man asked cautiously.
This group of wicked people, coupled with Wu Heng's attire, led them to believe that Wu Heng was the leader of some evil organization.
"Old sir, what do you think he is?"
Wu Heng didn't answer, but instead pointed to the tattooed man next to him and asked a question in return.
"I don't know about it. I only saw flames and evil," the old man answered honestly.
"It's a pleasure to meet you. My name is Victor Lister, and I am a priest."
"My name is Kane Lugo, and I'm old."
"You're still going strong, even in your old age. I'm going to see something rather terrifying, and I hope you can help me find it. You don't need to go there yourself."
Wu Heng certainly wouldn't let ordinary people go to the Pennywise's cave with him, as that would be tantamount to bringing food to the Pennywise.
