bite!
After the elevator reached the 6th floor, the metal doors opened automatically.
Steady footsteps emerged from inside the door, walked down the corridor, and finally pushed open the glass door to the office area.
"Looks like everyone's really excited!"
A gentle voice came through.
Just hearing this sound makes people feel like they have someone to lean on, are surrounded by warmth, and feel safe.
At least, that's how the people present felt.
"Priest"
"Father." The boisterous celebrations ceased, replaced by a chorus of greetings.
"You 'It Comes!"
Bob bent down and, with the help of his subordinates, slumped off the long table, forcibly controlling his tone as he spoke.
Wu Heng was somewhat speechless.
He noticed a hint of emotion in Bob's eyes, as if he were about to cry from excitement.
In fact,
Bob was indeed on the verge of tears.
Only he, as the person directly involved, knows how difficult it was for him.
These past few days he hasn't dared to go home, or even sleep alone. He's been torn between the longing for his name to be recorded in the Bible and the fear of being devoured by a dried-up corpse.
Wu Heng gave him holy water, which he always kept close to his chest, even carefully covering it when he went to the toilet, so that he could spill it at any time.
The water in the test tube had been warmed to a lukewarm temperature by his body heat.
After waiting anxiously for what felt like an eternity, Wu Heng finally It Comes!
Bob felt he might be able to get a good night's sleep tonight.
"Father, our selection process is over. Seventeen people have survived."
As soon as Wu Heng's eyes fell on the screen, the perceptive Bob quickly reported their results.
He knew that this was what Wu Heng was concerned about.
"This is the list, along with information and photos." Bob handed the summary document on the table to Wu Heng.
Wu Heng gave him an approving look and took the book to read.
" Rall Dudley, 34 years old, claims to be the incarnation of the highest angel ' Metatron,' capable of ignoring all suffering, and came to earth to guide humanity through a great calamity."
" Siva Baba, 84 years old, is an ascetic from India who uses suffering as his vessel, lives naked and without clothes, and firmly believes that suffering can liberate him from the cycle of reincarnation."
" Arissa Xia, 27 years old, from the Petro Church, is a nun who has taken a life vow and dedicated everything to God."
" Zagaram, 68 years old, is a monk from the Tibetan Buddhist tradition of China. He practices both exoteric and esoteric Buddhism, and observing the vows of cows and dogs, as well as fire rituals and thorn-laying rituals, are all part of his daily life."
" Norm Gilly, a rancher from the West, was abandoned in the wilderness and grew up drinking bison milk, possessing the temperament of a wild bull."
Wu Heng saw a familiar person.
The middle-aged man who was driving a car pulling a bull and was almost killed by Hidden Ghost was actually named Norm.
I never expected this person to make it to the finals.
He closed the list.
The seventeen people mentioned above,
Six of them were ascetics with their own beliefs, five were slightly mentally ill, and the remaining six were simply fearless and normal people.
However, to have survived to this stage from a pool of nearly 100,000 applicants, especially after going through a selection process that felt like torture, is truly remarkable.
It's practically impossible for a normal person to exist there.
"Father, should we still do a selection process, keeping only 13?" Bob asked cautiously from the side, seeing that Wu Heng had finished reading the manual.
He remembered Wu Heng saying that it was to select the incarnations of the 13 saints.
"No need. We need to have a few backups, otherwise if something happens to someone, we won't be able to hold another election." Wu Heng waved his hand and handed the list to Bob. "Help me find an empty venue, preferably a secluded place in the suburbs."
"Tell me when you find them, then take these seventeen people there; I'm going to give them their final training."
"Hurry up, be quick!"
Have you noticed the virus in Maine?
Wu Heng glanced at everyone in the room and asked.
"I've noticed it; it seems to be a particularly terrifying virus."
"Yes, those infected look like green devils."
"Could it be...?" The word 'devil' instantly stunned everyone, and they all had bad thoughts.
"I'm going to Maine this time." Wu Heng's tone was calm, but it sent chills down everyone's spines. They all guessed that the virus might have come from hell.
Wu Heng took a wooden box out of his pocket, opened it, and placed it on the table.
"You did a good job this time. Each of you has a bottle of holy water here. If anyone gets infected with the virus, it might save their life."
"Furthermore, the report just now stated that there are over seventeen million US dollars remaining unused in the account; consider this money a bonus."
After he finished speaking, he spoke to Bob alone for a few more minutes and handed Bob a larger reagent.
The smaller reagent was prepared by him using parasite fluid at a 1:10 ratio, while Bob's reagent consisted of a single drop.
Clear rewards and punishments
He doesn't mind giving some rewards to those who have done their jobs well and helped him.
A single drop of nematode solution can fight cancer cells.
Diluted medication may not be able to save those already infected, but if it's an early stage of infection, it might boost immunity and help them recover.
Wu Heng had never tested this before.
After giving his instructions, he walked out of the television building.
I had just taken out my phone to make a call when it rang.
"Hello, is this Father?" Ben's voice came through the phone.
"It's me, Ben. I was just about to look for you."
The Pennywise has fallen into a deep sleep and can no longer cause trouble; it's time for the main characters to gather.
"Father, hello, I'm Mike Hanlon. What exactly happened in Derry?"
On the other end of the phone, Mike Hanlon, a black man who had left Derry with Wu Heng's financial support, asked somewhat anxiously.
After receiving financial assistance from Wu Heng, he took his family on a trip under the guise of winning the lottery, but in reality, he went to find Ben.
But he still has relatives and friends in Derry.
"Because of the Pennywise!"
" Derry is its territory. It has been eroding the residents of Derry. Everyone is its reserve food. When it is injured, it chooses to devour all the residents."
"The infected residents have no awareness of resistance, and then it releases the virus and goes into a dormant state, but it may wake up at any time. You should come to Lincoln City immediately."
"We must train you all before it regains its senses!"
At this point, Wu Heng chose to keep it a secret.
He wasn't afraid to admit that he released the virus; he just wanted to save himself the trouble and avoid wasting his energy on minor issues.
"So, have we also been corrupted by the Pennywise?" a woman's voice asked anxiously.
Wu Heng guessed that the voice must belong to the female lead, Beverly Marsh, whom he had always secretly admired.
"You've driven away Pennywise before, so you're special. We'll discuss the details when It Comes; time is of the essence. I'll send you the detailed address."
After giving a few instructions, Wu Heng hung up the phone.
He was browsing through some information stored on his phone, information he had obtained while he was in charge of the lieutenant governor position of ' Webber ' in Tucker Town.
It contains records of strange events, and he needs to add some evil spirits to them.
These evil spirits,
At the very least, it can serve as a form of harassment.
