Though she was already twenty-eight, Tali still looked as wild and energetic as a young girl. She did not dare tell the others that she had heard that childlike voice earlier, or that she had seen the bloody body.
She suspected it was the child she had aborted.
Wu Heng took the notebook Lini handed him. It contained strange triangular symbols, along with the names and numbers of certain people.
Each of those names had been crossed out, indicating that they were already dead.
It also recorded certain times and dates.
"There was something very strange about my father. These names he wrote down were the people the television stations reported had been killed by that mysterious sniper."
As Lini and Donny spoke, their third brother Vishnu wore the same disbelieving expression.
They had always felt that their father was mysterious, but they had never imagined it was to this extent.
"Did anything ever happen in your home? I can sense on you the aura of having come into contact with evil."

"We lost a younger brother. I suspect Father abandoned our mother too. He was the one who caused her death." Lini's face was filled with sorrow.
The three of them took turns recounting everything that had happened to their family seven years ago: their mother being possessed by an evil spirit, their grandmother's suicide, and their youngest brother Ian being taken away by an evil spirit.
Tali, standing nearby, widened her eyes in shock. She could not believe those things had actually been real.
Because that meant the bloody infant she had seen might truly have been an evil spirit as well.
