As though venting, Bahar poured out everything he had been bottling up inside in one breath.
"Children, be good. It's already been seven years. As long as we hold on until tonight is over, everything will get better!" His voice unconsciously took on a pleading tone.
"Mr. Bahar, perhaps you're wrong," Wu Heng said softly.
"What do you know? You have no idea what happened. You've never seen it—you have no idea how terrifying that evil is, or how helpless ordinary people like us are when facing it. You don't understand anything! What gives you the right to say I'm wrong?" Bahar suddenly turned to glare at Wu Heng.
He suspected that his children had said those things because they had been influenced by the man before them.
He knew Wu Heng meant well, but he was also certain that Wu Heng did not understand the full story.
