Battle of Amegakure

Deva Path Pain expressionlessly extended his fair right hand, tipped with red nail polish, as he directly activated the power of his Rinnegan.

"Almighty Push!"

An irresistible, overwhelming force acted upon Doflamingo out of thin air. Doflamingo was caught completely off guard, his entire body yanked by this suction as he flew straight toward Pain.

"What kind of ability is this!"

Doflamingo was horrified. Having completely lost his balance in mid-air, he was like a puppet on strings, flying comically and diagonally into Pain's embrace.

Just as Doflamingo's head was about to collide with the Black Receiver held in Pain's left hand, two thick, white ribbons extended rapidly from the ground, binding his right leg and waist to anchor him in mid-air.

The ribbons, composed of white strings, held the sweating Doflamingo taut like a fully loaded tow rope. Just as Doflamingo was about to seize this moment of respite to counterattack, the massive suction suddenly vanished! In its place, a massive, irresistible repulsive force struck him.

The sudden shift between gravity and repulsion made Doflamingo feel so nauseated he wanted to vomit blood! Yet, he wouldn't have to worry about that for long, because he actually did vomit blood...

The strings pulling Doflamingo gave him an extra boost when the repulsion hit, sending him flying straight out of sight. Like a soccer ball kicked with immense force, he tore through countless buildings, disappearing into a cloud of dust and smoke.

Looking at the destroyed buildings, Pain frowned, seemingly displeased by the damage.

As Pain moved to check on Doflamingo's condition, a massive white ribbon lashed out at his face, but Pain dodged it sideways without changing his expression.

"Overheat!" Doflamingo's cold voice, laced with extreme fury, echoed from afar.

Simultaneously, the massive ribbon, thousands of meters long, swept horizontally with a violent momentum, intending to grind Pain into dust.

Pain, having anticipated this, used a Body Replacement Technique to dodge and landed on another, shorter building. The stone statue beneath his feet—or rather, every building in Amegakure taller than that statue—was obliterated by the strike.

This massive commotion drew Konan and several Amegakure units, who had been guarding the village, to the scene.

As both a member of Akatsuki and Pain's closest friend, Konan arrived first due to the incredible speed of her Paper Release. With paper wings on her back, she flew directly to Pain's side. Seeing that he was unharmed, she let out a slow sigh of relief and asked, "Pain, I'm glad you're alright. Do you need me to intervene?"

Pain's face grew colder, and he flatly rejected Konan's offer. "Keep watch over the village. Don't let anyone disturb me; I will make this intruder suffer my wrath."

The remaining five Paths of Pain landed beside Deva Path Pain. The six of them shared a single mind and, without a word, dispersed to surround Doflamingo.

Facing the encirclement, Doflamingo swung his massive whip, appearing clumsy but actually moving with lethal speed, enveloping all Six Paths of Pain within his offensive.

However, the Six Paths of Pain were each formidable, and by spreading out, they maintained shared vision; Doflamingo's attacks only delayed them for a moment. Before long, Doflamingo was surrounded, the six of them occupying positions on various buildings in a hexagonal formation.

The bald Asura Path struck first. He extended his hands horizontally, his ten fingers transforming like a robot's into ten small missiles that roared toward Doflamingo.

Doflamingo, whose Observation Haki was top-tier, did not attempt to tank the incoming missiles and dodged them with ease, a sneer on his face. However, the missiles that flew past him curved back and landed directly behind him. Fortunately, Doflamingo had his Observation Haki fully activated; as the missiles exploded, he wove a dense net of strings to block the majority of the blast.

Doflamingo activated his ability, a thick string erupting from his right hand. "Break White!" He swung it, encompassing the Six Paths of Pain.

The Six Paths of Pain shared a single mind and vision, and could even perform Summoning Techniques for one another. Although the range of Doflamingo's String-String Fruit was vast and his attacks were unrestrained, the Six Paths of Pain darted between the strikes like agile butterflies, leaving Doflamingo feeling increasingly irritated.

At this moment, the yellow-ponytail Animal Path stepped back slightly. Finding an opening, he quickly formed hand seals. "Summoning Technique!"

As a massive cloud of white smoke dissipated, a giant, ferocious three-headed dog and a massive, dark green lizard appeared on the field. The three-headed dog charged at Doflamingo with bloodthirsty fangs, while the giant lizard remained motionless, its body slowly fading until it vanished entirely! It was a chameleon!

The three-headed dog lunged at Doflamingo excitedly, only to be struck directly in the head by Doflamingo's swift Break White! A puff of white smoke rose, and the struck dog split into two smaller three-headed dogs, continuing their charge.

"Damnable beasts!" Although the summoned dogs were massive, they posed no threat to Doflamingo; the problem was that they were impossible to kill, and the more he fought, the more they multiplied. It was as disgusting as swallowing a fly! After a few strikes, the field was crawling with countless small dogs swarming and biting at him!

But Doflamingo was a master of all three types of Haki and possessed top-tier physical skills. He moved with ease, and soon, using his String-String Fruit ability, he bound the dogs into bundles, leaving them unable to move.

Just as Doflamingo successfully restrained the last dog, a transparent shadow launched a surprise attack from behind, seizing the moment of his relaxation.

A smirk tugged at the corner of Doflamingo's mouth. Under the perception of his Observation Haki, such common invisibility tricks were nothing but a joke.

Just as he was about to dodge sideways, a massive, overwhelming suction suddenly descended upon him, causing him to lose his balance. He took the chameleon's invisible strike head-on and was sent flying into the air.

A perfect opportunity! A flash of light crossed Pain's eyes. Taking advantage of Doflamingo's mid-air imbalance, the Asura Path's body instantly transformed, and several missiles with fiery tails flew from his body, whistling toward Doflamingo.

Yet, Doflamingo suddenly pulled himself upward in mid-air, several invisible strings snapping from his hands to detonate the incoming missiles prematurely.

Doflamingo landed quickly using his invisible strings and let out a long breath. The spot on his abdomen where he had been struck throbbed with pain; fortunately, his Armament Haki had withstood the blow, or he would have fallen into a chain of attacks.

Infuriated, Doflamingo decided to take the initiative.

"Parasite!"

Doflamingo had already laid down a vast web of invisible strings while moving around the field. As the chameleon revealed itself, it was instantly parasitized deep into its muscles, unable to move!

The Six Paths of Pain in the vicinity were not spared either; as the Parasite strings burrowed into their bodies, they suddenly ceased all movement.

"Fufufufufufu!"

Doflamingo's arrogant laughter rang out. "What's wrong? Can't move your bodies?"

Doflamingo's hands moved as if he were playing a beautiful piano concerto. With a light flick of his ring fingers, the bald Asura Path moved like a puppet, walking stiffly toward Deva Path Pain, baring his mechanical fist, and slamming it down with force.

"Foolish."

Deva Path Pain's expression remained unchanged. The Asura Path's fist stopped dead in front of him; the sharp wind of the punch felt like nothing more than a gentle breeze against his face.

"How is this possible?" Doflamingo exclaimed in surprise. No matter how he activated his fruit ability, he could not use the Parasite strings to control the Six Paths of Pain.

"Ignorant!"

Pain had no interest in explaining how he controlled the Six Paths of Pain, let alone telling him that they were merely puppets fashioned from corpses. How could puppets he crafted with his own hands ever defy his will? Perhaps the man before him could cause a minor nuisance with those bizarre white threads, but that was all.

Doflamingo soon sensed that even though his Parasite threads had seized the muscles and joints of the figures before him, he still could not control their movements.

"Oh ho ho, so they were puppets to begin with?" Doflamingo quickly grasped the situation. "Then, the warm-up is over!"

Doflamingo descended slowly to the ground with the aid of his white threads. A ripple of pure white spread instantly beneath his feet; wherever the ripples touched, the ground and buildings alike transformed into white strings.

"Billowing White!" Countless transparent, white, thin threads surged from the ground, arranged horizontally to form a raging, sea-like assault. Doflamingo manipulated the threads with both hands, surrounding Pain and the others from all directions.

"Not ninjutsu; it cannot be absorbed." The Preta Path nodded toward the Deva Path, their shared consciousness allowing him to understand the implication.

With that, the Deva Path stepped forward as the other five gathered behind him. The Deva Path pressed his palms together and unleashed the power of the Rinnegan.

"Almighty Push!"

A repulsive force, far more terrifying than before, radiated from the Deva Path as the center, spreading in all directions. The massive wave formed by the white threads was pushed back, recoiling until it crashed against the layers of thread-woven walls Doflamingo had erected.

Doflamingo's fingers continued to dance, flicking the white threads to send another white tidal wave, no less powerful than the last, surging toward the group.

Pain did not meet the attack head-on. The Preta Path quickly formed hand seals, summoning a giant Yata Crow to carry them away from the strike.

The surging white threads missed their mark, converging into a massive, twisted white wave that coiled upward, lunging at the bird in the sky.

"Summoning Technique!" A colossal stone panda statue descended from the heavens, landing atop the white wave and pinning it to the ground.

Doflamingo, having finally seized the rhythm of the battle through his Fruit Awakening, was not about to let up, launching a relentless barrage at Pain.

"Thousand Arrows Piercing Heart: Feather Strike String!"

Thousands of threads coated in Armament Haki erupted from the white earth, surrounding Pain and his paths in the shape of flamingo wings.

"Almighty Push!" Once again, a massive repulsive force radiated from Pain, repelling the countless threads and perfectly defending against the assault from all sides. However, as the forces canceled each other out, this repulsion posed no threat to Doflamingo.

Now! A sharp glint flashed in Doflamingo's eyes behind his lenses. The instant the Deva Path finished his Almighty Push, Doflamingo activated his Fruit ability, instantly brewing his next wave of attacks!

"16 Holy Bullets: God Thread!"

Sixteen massive waves of white thread rose from the ground, piercing toward the Deva Path and the others at blinding speed.

The Yata Crow in mid-air was directly impaled by the attack, which was coated in high-density Armament Haki, exposing the Deva Path and his companions.

With no time to dodge, the group had no choice but to use the metallic Asura Path as a shield to take the brunt of the blow.

"Bang!" The Yata Crow was wounded and vanished into a puff of white smoke, ending the summoning.

The Six Paths of Pain landed on the head of the giant stone panda. The metallic Asura Path was now in tatters, riddled with over a dozen holes. The Animal Path, who had summoned the beast, along with the Human Path and Preta Path, had all been severely wounded by the strike.

"Fufufufu, that move of yours isn't something you can use indefinitely, is it?" Doflamingo laughed triumphantly. Seeing his enemies battered by his exploitation of their attack interval, he felt as satisfied as if he had personally executed his nemesis!

"Then, next up, the final two!" With only that strange gravitational and repulsive ability left, and a puppet of unknown function—and given that the repulsion had a cooldown—the advantage was his!

Doflamingo gleefully manipulated the white threads, gathering them into several massive waves that surged to submerge the Deva Path.

The Deva Path remained expressionless. The Naraka Path, appearing as a middle-aged man, seemed entirely unconcerned by the incoming attack; he summoned a bizarre, giant humanoid head. Its face resembled that of King Yama, with the character for "King" carved into its forehead.

"Almighty Push!" the Deva Path stated coldly, repelling the incoming white tidal wave in its entirety.

Seeing Pain use Almighty Push, Doflamingo felt a surge of joy. This move will finish you! he thought, as several massive white ribbons surged from all directions, coated in thick Armament Haki and aimed directly at Pain.

Clang. The white ribbons failed to strike Pain and his group, instead hitting a giant crab.

"What?"

"Mortal, you see the trees, but not the forest!"

The unscathed Deva Path, Animal Path, Naraka Path, Asura Path, and Preta Path appeared beneath the crab's belly. The giant crab was wounded by the strike and dissipated into white smoke.

Doflamingo watched as the bizarre head, which had opened its maw, spat out the final Human Path. With all six paths reappearing unharmed, Doflamingo realized in an instant that the last puppet's ability was healing! He felt as though he had been played for a fool.

Six puppets, six abilities? This is truly troublesome... Doflamingo mused inwardly. His hands never stopped; the entire ground of white threads began to twist into a vortex. Dozens of other massive waves surged from the surroundings, the thread attacks raining down from the sky and rising from the earth, shrouding the Six Paths of Pain.

Facing the inescapable net of attacks, the summoned Yama head swallowed all six paths in one gulp. The summoned stone panda disintegrated into fragments, rapidly wrapping around the Yama head to form a massive stone sphere.

The Armament-coated white threads tore through the stone exterior with ease, but upon hitting the Yama head, they met immense resistance, slowing the assault. In those few short seconds, the cooldown for Almighty Push finished.

The force of the white waves was like a crashing tide, only to be reversed. The entire stone sphere shattered, revealing the Six Paths of Pain, completely unscathed.

"Enough. This ends here. Almighty Push!"

An irresistible force of attraction seized Doflamingo, dragging him in instantly. The white threads in his path were pushed aside by the repulsion, unable to intervene in time.

"Asura: Overlord Fist!" The bald Asura Path's right arm transformed into a metallic fist, slamming into Doflamingo's abdomen as he lost his balance.

Doflamingo's eyes rolled back as he was struck, and he lost consciousness.

The Deva Path, expressionless, tossed Doflamingo's relatively large body onto the ground. The Human Path stepped forward, knelt, and placed a hand on Doflamingo's forehead, preparing to read his memories.

"Wrong!"

The Human Path's expression darkened. He exerted force with his right hand, crushing the "head" of the person before him! Yet, the head dissolved into circles of white thread, and the "Doflamingo" corpse was tossed aside like a broken doll. Its head had been crushed into fragments, and residual white threads remained on its neck. Following the neck, one could see that the entire body was constructed from these white threads!

This was not the real Doflamingo, but a puppet crafted using his String-String Fruit ability!
