Mizuki did not want an evenly matched fight. He wanted to deliver enough shock in a short time to make the White Snake Sage take his demands seriously—not treat him as a penniless monk begging at her door, but as a vicious guest prepared to force a deal through.
"Sage Art: Dreamplay!"
Aside from the Thousand Conquest Decree, this was the second sage art Mizuki had completed. After obtaining the chakra of the nine tailed beasts, he had fused his mental fixation with a fragment of the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path that had absorbed part of their chakra. Then, after probing the connection between the Rinnegan and the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path, he had been able to borrow its power through a rough imitation.
Mizuki did not possess the Rinnegan, and the fragment of the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path was not the Ten-Tails. Besides, he had the faith of the entire Land of Rain as leverage. Moving the power of a mere Ten-Tails fragment was no real problem, so long as he did not cut off the Summoning Technique.
An indescribable force descended from afar. Splendid radiance abruptly rose around Mizuki, and upon closer inspection, it was made up entirely of beautiful butterflies dancing through the air. They slowly surrounded him, converging into a Rebirth Butterfly that stood somewhere between illusion and reality.
"Don't blame me when I smash all the little jars and pots you've been hoarding."
It was Mizuki's voice, yet it sounded heavier, more ethereal, and utterly devoid of emotion.
"You are far too arrogant, Konoha ninja!"
The enraged White Snake Sage opened her enormous mouth, thrusting her head and upper body forward as she attacked.
As the White Snake Sage's chakra spread, countless stone spikes suddenly erupted from every direction.
